My 5 month old loves this seat. It is perfect for babies learning to sit on their own; some other reviewers mention using it or 3 mo. old babies and having bad experiences which I think can be attributed to the baby being too young to properly use this seat. My son is on the verge of being able to sit independently and this seat offers just the right amount of back and side support. He is also on the chunky side (20 lbs, 25 in) and he fits perfectly snug.

He also loves the little book toy that comes attached, its simple and colorful and he is mesmerized by it. Its super easy to clean which is another huge plus. Overall I think it's a great product and would recommend it to others with age-appropriate babies.

I originally bought this product because I wanted something to support my five month old when she wanted to sit up and play instead of lay down. I chose this seat because I like sassy products, and many of the other seats had lots of busy looking themes with lots of toys and stimulation. I liked that this was a basic mold seat that had toys she could manipulate, but was not extra busy for no reason. Having used it I love that she can sit up un assisted in the chair however, because there is not a strap or harness to keep her in the seat she often can lean so far forward she falls onto her blanket...also the space is very narrow for her chunky lil legs making it difficult to distribute her weight evenly ...which is tricky when you are learning to sit. Overall, I like the product ...but it could use some improvements......oo i do looove the idea od the velcro toys that attach...she has so much fun with that it would be cool if the company sold more toys to attach so you could swap out different ones.

This was a cute idea but isn't made all that well and if you have a boppy you can do the same thing. I will be returning it because overall disappointed. The little neck support pillow is not attached and doesn't stay on.

Comments about Sassy Sit & Play Sensory Seat:

This product might be great for the typical infant, but my 3 month old son didn't fit in it and it gave him no back support (he is 25.5" long). If he had fit I think it would have been awesome.

Comments about Sassy Sit & Play Sensory Seat:

I gave this to first time parents in their 40s. I thought it would be perfect equipment for NYC dwellers with limited space and frequent mobility. The seat is stimulating, small enough to take along when traveling & fun to watch the baby expore her world in an upright position. I have 5 grandchildren. I know babies love to look around & take in the sights & sounds & textures at an early age, pre-independent sitting.

Comments about Sassy Sit & Play Sensory Seat:

This seat is great because I feel like it is a perfect transition before the bumbo. It allows my son to sit up with back and side support. He seems to enjoy it. I would have given it 5 stars but the small pillow that comes with it doesn't stay in place - I will need to attach some velcro tabs to it.

I bought it for my eight week old. I know he'd have to grow into it once he has better head control but his legs barely fit in the opening. Doesn't look comfortable .

Comments about Sassy Sit & Play Sensory Seat:

My baby is 5 months old. She enjoys sitting and playing but can not do this on her own yet. But it is a bit hard to play with her as well as time consuming to hold her up all day. This is great for her I thought, and for the most part is. The only thing is she slips down easily and the "neck support pillow" falls down. However the toys that come with it as well as exter loops are great!

Comments about Sassy Sit & Play Sensory Seat:

I bought this product with the idea that it would give me a little extra support in teaching my almost 4 month old how gain more core control. I thought the added headrest pillow was a great idea but it just slides off. There is nothing to hold it in place. The leg opening isn't large enough for leg movement. So we ended up playing with the toys separate from the seat.

My son is 3 months old and loves this seat. He stares at its bright colors whenever he is in the same room with it. He loves to shove the parrot in his mouth. A little pricy though for a seat that needs constant supervision. The seat doesn't hold baby in like the bumbo chair does. With a wiggly baby, you need to constantly sit them back up. I just think it should cost at least $20 less. It's almost the same price as the bumbo chair and the two chairs don't compare.

I bought this chair for my 3 months old son to have him learn to sit up. However, my son did not fit it there at all and kept sliding. The neck supporter thing did not support the neck. The hip area is wide and the leg room is so narrow. I don't think this is a "CHAIR". It is just a "TOY". I returned it right away. Don't waste your money on this thing.

Great for a baby that is still learning to sit independently. My daughter is almost able to sit on her own and this provides the perfect amount of support and stability for her. She also loves being able to reach for all the toys it comes with. The added toys are a real bonus since most products sell the toys separately! The cover is machine washable and that is extra convenient!
