Product Description

Kids love to chat on the phone and this classic, roll-along pull-toy with a friendly face, and eyes that move up and down when the toy is pulled along makes it even more fun!

Since 1930, Fisher-Price has been in business to create toys that fascinate and stimulate a child's imagination. Fisher-Price was founded in 1930, hardly the best time to launch a new business as the shadows of the Depression still loomed over American business. Still, Herman Fisher, Irving Price and Helen Schelle combined their diverse manufacturing and retailing experience to create a toy company and confidently brought 16 wooden toys to the International Toy Fair in New York City. The whimsical nature and magical surprises of those first Fisher-Price toys quickly caught on and became the hallmarks of Fisher-Price ever since. Fisher-Price believes in the potential of children and in the importance of a supportive environment in which they can grow, learn, and get the best possible start in life. Fisher-Price supports today's families with young children through our breadth of products that includes GeoTrax, Imaginext, Little People, Laugh and Learn, Thomas the Tank, Thomas and Friends, Elmo, Dora the Explorer, Go Diego Go, Sesame Street, Smart Cycle, Ni Hao Kai-Lan, Toy Story and other learning toys and pretend play items.

Features

  • See how the fun develops
  • Social Skills Encourages speech as they talk into the phone by imitating words and phrases they've heard
  • Imaginative Skills Early role play as they pretend to talk
  • Classic pull toy with a friendly face
  • Eyes that move up and down when the toy is pulled along

I understand the possible frustrations about the short cord. But face it: anything longer is considered a strangulation hazard and in today's world full of law-suits no manufacturer is going to make anything with a longer cord and sell it for little children). Both of my daughters enjoyed this phone VERY much. We have several toys which have strings to be pulled around but this phone and FP's puppy toy (also a great basic/classic toy) were always their favorite. They often talked with the phone on the table in front of them, me holding the phone in front of them while playing together, when they got older they pretended to chat with friends while laying on the carpet on their tummies... they didn't seem to mind that short cord at all. I appreciated that the toy was not noisy, was very economical, didn't need any batteries, was a lot of fun for several years,

Maybe I'm imagining what mine did, but it's been over 30 years. I remember T&C he eyes moved when it was dragged. It seems like a cheapened version of the original. I was going to let my 10 mo. old have it, but it has a really long string that he wants to eat and there's no way to temporarily hide it or remove it. My husband pointed out that he'll have no idea what it is either. Telephones don't look like this any more. This is a toy for parents.

I bought this during a Fisher Price BOGO sale. My siblings and I had one of these when we were kids and I wanted to get one for my son. It's a modern version of the classic toy. Very cute!

My 1 year old baby boy loves it ! Plays with it for only a bit cos he gets bored quick.. Doesn't make any type of noises (which I hate since 1 year olds love things that light up & sound up) other than that he seems to be enjoying it and learning how to say hello and how to answer a phone

The cord between the ear piece & phone was too short. I ended up cutting it so my granddaughter can hold it & try to talk at the same time.

My 1 year old received this as a gift. He loves pull toys and phone toys, so this would have been a hit if the strings were longer. I'm not sure if they were concerned about kids tripping or strangling but the strings are too short! I can't even pick up the phone and pretend to talk because the phone cord is too short.
