Nosefrida "The Snotsucker" Nasal Aspirator

The Nosefrida "The Snotsucker" Nasal Aspirator is a safe and effective way of cleaning your baby's nostrils. The non-invasive design forms a seal outside the nostril instead of going inside. Then by the power of your own mouth, you can create the suction necessary for aspiration. The pieces come apart for easy cleaning.

Product Highlights

  • Non-invasive design forms a seal outside the baby's nostril
  • Parent-powered mouth suction is strong and effective
  • Pieces come apart for easy cleaning
Safe for baby
The non-invasive design forms a seal around your little one's nostril - instead of inside - to create the vacuum necessary for aspiration.
Parent-powered
Use your mouth to draw upon the mouthpiece end to create a desired suction that is strong and effective for clearing out your little one's nostrils.

Product Description

Nosefrida, the original doctor-developed and doctor-recommended nasal aspirator is the new standard in keeping babies naturally snot free. Ingeniously simple Swedish design features a tube that is placed against the nostril (not inside). Parents use their own suction to draw mucus out of their child's nose. Disposable filters prevent any bacterial transfer. Nosefrida is easy to clean, top-rack safe, and BPA and Phthalate free. It is superior to the bulb aspirator, presents no risk or harm to internal nasal structures and is dramatically more efficacious.

Let's get this part out of the way and into the open... the thought of sucking out snot with a straw is disturbing to say the least. The friendly picture of a mom doing just this on the front of the package won't do much to help ease your trepidation. In fact, the first time I saw this product I laughed and passed it by swearing I would never do anything so disgusting!

Plain and simple fact, your child WILL get a cold or two within their first year. Seeing that infants have very little in an established immune system that means lots of stuffy noses, snot and boogers that YOU will have to deal with. With a stuffy nose it will be difficult for your baby to eat and sleep as babies tend to be nose-breathers. This will mean lots of fussiness for the parents. When your child is producing what seems like gallons of snot, THOSE TRADITIONAL BULB-SUCKERS JUST WILL NOT CUT IT!

Out of pure desperation I bought the Nosefrida. I felt like the mom and baby on the front of the package were mocking me with a look of "We knew you'd be back." Now, I can honestly see why... This thing is AWESOME!!! If we look purely at results, the Nosefrida wins hands down compared to the competition. While its design is extremely simple, it is cleverly built in a way that prevents you from accidentally swallowing something from your baby's nose. It has a filter but in my experience (and I've had a lot at this point) the contents you remove from your child's nose very rarely make it that far up the tube anyhow.

The Nosefrida allows you to use enough suction to effectively unblock your child's nose quickly and safely. I was very hesitant at first as I didn't want to accidentally create so much suction in my son's nose that I'd pop a blood vessel or something. This was not the case at all. While my son generally doesn't want me bothering him with such things, I can tell that he's learned to know the sight of the Nosefrida means he'll be able to breath well again when its all done.

On top of all of this, the Nosefrida is very easy to clean. It seems to have a non-stick surface that allows a quick rinse with hot water to remove all of the tube's contents.

I don't at all think it will ever seem any less weird or disgusting to use the Nosefrida, but I otherwise have nothing but good things to say about it. BUY THIS!

We've ventured into many different brands of nasal aspirators but this was by far the least effective. Our trials are conducted on an 11 month old that has been very stuffy in connection with the seasons and teething. We have the hospital-standard issue, the Little Noses, the Safety First pump action, the Safety First battery operated with music...and the Nosefrida. Nosefrida has not earned a place in pur arsenal though my baby loves to hold the tube! The suction seems insufficient for the. , the tip is too large for direct suction on specific areas...even when they are visible to the eye. I bought the device with high hopes, as well as extea filters and have had no success at all though I have tried multiple times. I generally just resort to the hospital standard issue and make do. I have had no snot-sucking success at all with Nosefrida.

Money well spent! My 4mo old had her first cold, and after a couple days of using the hospital style nasal aspirator, her congestion wasn't clearing. I purchased this product after reading the great reviews, and I am so glad I did. It's so easy to use, not at all messy or gross, and it definitely helps clear those little nasal passages!

THE best baby product ever invented! You will use it over and over... and love it more each time! Using it for the first time will gross you out a bit.. but after the initial use.. YOU ARE IN LOVE! Dont worry about the filters, they are really not needed. The boogies never make it very far in the tube. I now buy this for anyone I know having a baby! GET IT! You'll love it!

This product is excellent! The nose bulbs are opaque and you cannot see if/what comes out. This product is clear and you can apply as much/as little pressure as needed. The concept was a little strange but after the cold my son had I was willing to try anything. I will suggest this to any new mom i meet Going forward. This is a winter baby must have!

Comments about Fridababy Nosefrida ""The Snotsucker"" Nasal Aspirator:

Let me start out by saying this is a product I never would have even thought about purchasing, but as we all know, mom's will do just about anything to comfort our children. With that said, my daughter had been congested from the time of her birth in the beginning of February to about May. Nothing seemed to help. At her 3 month appointment I was exhausted from sleeping in a sitting position to help her breathe better and had tried everything I could think of. Her doctor recommended the nosefrida. She told me to hold my daughter at a 45 degree angle, squirting saline solution up one nostril until it came from out the other side, then use the nosefrida. When using this I no longer had to fight her to clear her nose, she would actually laugh at me when using this product which totally makes up for how disgusting it sounds. She had no side efacts such as bloody nose, pain, or swollen tissues in the nose like using the bulb syringe. It also seemed to remove more snot at one time thaN the multiple attempts using the bulb syringe. The filters keep the snot from going up the tube and into your mouth. The filters are a one and done thing but are not expensive by any means. The reason for 4 stars is because over time, taking it apart to clean, the hose loosens and falls off. I have recommended this to several new moms and will continue to do so. It makes a great shower gift.
