Product Description

Sail and float, sail and float, this little boat can really float! Toddlers will love heading out to sea with Captain Michael. When they press down on him in the captain's seat, they will hear a fun tune. They can catch fish with the movable fishing rod, then use the fish as a scoop to pour water.

Since 1930, Fisher-Price has been in business to create toys that fascinate and stimulate a child's imagination. Fisher-Price was founded in 1930, hardly the best time to launch a new business as the shadows of the Depression still loomed over American business. Still, Herman Fisher, Irving Price and Helen Schelle combined their diverse manufacturing and retailing experience to create a toy company and confidently brought 16 wooden toys to the International Toy Fair in New York City. The whimsical nature and magical surprises of those first Fisher-Price toys quickly caught on and became the hallmarks of Fisher-Price ever since. Fisher-Price believes in the potential of children and in the importance of a supportive environment in which they can grow, learn, and get the best possible start in life. Fisher-Price supports today's families with young children through our breadth of products that includes GeoTrax, Imaginext, Little People, Laugh and Learn, Thomas the Tank, Thomas and Friends, Elmo, Dora the Explorer, Go Diego Go, Sesame Street, Smart Cycle, Ni Hao Kai-Lan, Toy Story and other learning toys and pretend play items.

My son's godmother and godfather bought this for him as a Christmas gift. We tried it out that night and my son LOVES it! Not only does he love it, but my husband and I are wondering how it can hold up to our son sinking it and draining it and the music still plays. I see that a lot of people have a problem with it, but we haven't seen anything that the complaints have been about. It floats just fine, plays music under water, and drains very easily. Maybe we just got lucky, but I can say it's cute and really fun in the tub! It's a splish slash toy!

The design is cute and the songs are fun. However, it sinks the minute my 2 year old starts to play with it. When you place the captain on top of the boat, it flips over and sinks to the bottom of the tub. Wish they could have designed this boat to do what is should...float. Oh well, we did get to add another little people figure to our growing collection.

Comments about Fisher-Price 1001124 Fisher-Price Little People: Sail 'n Float Boat:

If I had NEVER put this in the bathtub it would have gotten at least four stars. My daughter got this for her first birthday and played with it to the point of driving us nuts! We actually didn't know it was a water toy until months, maybe even a year later when I found the instruction book we saw that it was (supposed) to also go in the water. I wish I would have listened to my first instincts. The boat sinks almost immediately, it fills the battery cabinet and you never get it to play songs again. So disappointed with that part! We had a great toy before it hit the water.

Does not float

Comments about Fisher-Price 1001124 Fisher-Price Little People: Sail 'n Float Boat:

This boat is too heavy to float. It sinks within a minute and my daughter immediately lost interest. There is no reason it needs to make noise. This is just poorly designed. I received it as a gift or I would have returned it.

Water, water everywhere!

By Mom531

Comments about Fisher-Price 1001124 Fisher-Price Little People: Sail 'n Float Boat:

My 1 1/2 yr old recieved this as a Christmas gift. It sinks immediately and holds SOOO much water! Once in the tub, it flips over and starts to sink. Plus you can barely hear the music, which she enjoys. She likes to help put away her bath toys, but watch out when she hands you this - it holds so much water and if you're not careful you'll get completely drenched taking this out of the tub. Be sure to drain it (for a while)! It's a shame b/c my daughter does seem to like it, but it upsets her when it sinks so fast. I actually went on this website to see if it really was a tub toy! What a bummer!

Doesn't Float

By danip

from Altoona, PA

Comments about Fisher-Price 1001124 Fisher-Price Little People: Sail 'n Float Boat:

My son received this as a gift. He liked it at first, but it doesn't float. It always sinks right away no matter how much I try to empty out the water. It is poorly made. He likes the accessories with the fisherman and fish, but the boat itself is a waste of money.

Doesnt Float :(

By AaronsMom04

Comments about Fisher-Price 1001124 Fisher-Price Little People: Sail 'n Float Boat:

My son got this as a birthday gift and loves to play with it in the tub but it doesn't seem to float for very long and since it is battery powered the music no longer works. For about two days the music would randomly come on every few hours(even at night) on its own due to getting wet...then it stopped working altogether. He still loves to play with it in the tub though!

This toy was a huge dissapointment -- it doesn't float! And my son was not interested in all of the other little pieces (he's 2). I wouldn't waste your time on this one.

my son received this boat as a gift and i thought it was adorable. he was really excited to play with it, but for some reason it lets in water. the boat sinks within seconds! why on earth would a boat let in water? and it seems especially strange since it is battery operated. is this supposed to happen???

Received this for our son's first birthday.

He and his sister love to play with it in the tub. E loves to throw float the little person in the life preserver while his sister is trying to catch fish.

It does sink occasionally, but it's because the kids have pushed it under. Our 2 year old knows that she just has to pick it up, let the water drain out & put it back in the water carefully.
