Product Description

There are times when your child's diet may not be giving him everything he needs. Enfamil Poly-Vi-Sol with Iron is the ideal vitamin supplement.

Founded over 100 years ago by Edward Mead Johnson, one of the original founders of Johnson and Johnson, the Mead Johnson company produces more than 70 different products that are distributed in over 50 countries worldwide. Mead Johnson produces baby formula, vitamin and specialty nutritional supplements including Enfamil. Introduced in 1959, Enfamil baby formula has undergone several significant changes since it was invented. Each change brings Enfamil baby formula nutritionally closer to breast milk.

Edward Mead founded Mead Johnson because he wanted to make products to help people live healthier lives. After much research, Edward Mead and his son Lambert discovered a way to manufacture nutrient-rich baby food formula for infants who didnt have access to breast milk. This eventually became Enfamil baby formula.

Mead Johnson's global operations center and U.S. regional office is located in Evansville, Indiana.

Polyvisol with Iron was recommended by our pediatrician for our daughter's mild anemia at age 10 months after she finished breast feeding and was on formula only. We have always mixed it with formula and, now, with milk. Each morning we add it to warmed milk in a sippy cup and she drinks it up without fail. Mild anemia gone since she started the Polyvisol. Never any stomach or digestive problems. No messes by mixing it with fluids. No teeth-staining either. Our daughter has been very healthy, with only two colds in her 3 years.

My toddler takes this easily which I appreciate since he is a very picky eater. However, I went to buy a new bottle today and noticed that it contains carmel colour. Needless to say I did not buy a new bottle and will no longer buy this product. It is completely unnecessary to add artificial colouring to a baby/toddler multi-vit.

Using it for my twins after the doctor recomended it. They are picky eaters and breastfed so this makes sure they get the vitamins they need. They will only take it straight so in the morning before they are dressed for the day they get it. It will stain clothes or any fabric it comes into contact with. Also strong smell and taste.

My daughter hates this stuff! Every time I give her the vitamins she cries and gags. I feel horrible giving them to her but her pediatrician recommends it unfortunately I have yet to find any other vitamin for my daughter! I hate the way it stains her clothes there are multiple outfits that have been ruined so I tried to give it to her without her clothes on and it stains her skin a weird black color and it stinks!

Comments about Mead Johnson Enfamil Poly Vi Sol with Iron Drops:

My son is the worst eater. I swear I worry so much that he's not getting the proper nutrition but he continues to grow leaps and bounds and thrive. To me this stuff is disgusting but amazingly he loves it and has for the past 18 months that he's been on it. For the last year I load the dropper and hand it to him he drops it in himself. I'm pretty sure it's making up for his short comings as I definitely notice a difference in his energy, and attentiveness when for a month I couldn't afford to buy it. Never again, I now always keep a back up bottle!

My baby is breast feed but the hospital suggested I give my baby this because at first he wasn't eating enough. I give it to him every other day and it helps if he is constipated. I can't mix it with my milk he doesn't like it like that I have to just give it to him straight. It smells weird and stains but I like this product.

I mix it in with my son's formula in the morning, he doesn't even realize it is in there. It definitely mixes well. I love that it gives my son's all of the nutrients that he needs. But I do not like the smell/taste or how it stains. If you get any on your child's clothes, they must be washed asap to prevent staining! And as you know, it can be difficult to drop everything and do laundry when you have a baby!

Our Pedi recommended this for our daughter who was suffering from constipation she also said decrease her milk intake and that would help relieve it. When I gave them the first time she gagged and cried! She would run when I tried to give them to her! They stained her clothes and her teeth became gray after a week! She also was constipated more with hard black stool! So disappointed I wasted this money! I stopped giving them to her but did continue her cut back of milk and she has finally started to have normal BMs! Never using this again!

Comments about Mead Johnson Enfamil Poly Vi Sol with Iron Drops:

These vitamins were prescribed by my baby's pediatrician as they are essential for his health. At first, I tried giving him vitamins straight from the dropper into his mouth with little success. I taste everything that I give my son, and that includes the vitamins. The taste is somewhat strong, and I understand why he protests. Next, tried mixing them in his bottle, but it altered the taste of my breast milk. Since then, he's started solids and I've gotten wiser about to which foods best mask the flavor. Also, stains horribly. A formulation with a milder flavor and that does not stain would be great.
