We received these diapers as a shower gift (infant size). We didn't start using them until he was a few pounds heavier than the package suggests, but since his legs got a bit chunkier and they fit him well, we have been quite happy.

These are not the diapers we use overnight (we use Bum Genius or Happy Heiny overnight with an extra doubler) but for normal daytime use, they have been less leaky than some others we have tried and the aren't as bulky as many pocket diapers. I also prefer to use diapers without covers when possible, so these are nice in that regard, too. I also like the flannel - they are soft against his tender skin.

Because the extra doubler is only sewn to the diaper at one end, they dry more quickly than some. And when you lay them in the sun, the inside doesn't stain. The strangest staining we have experienced is on the outer layer in areas where he has blasted a whopper poop that has 'shot up' the back (this will happen occasionall with any baby, any diaper) to the top edge - and that looks weird, but certainly isn't a deal-breaker.

Now that he is 21 pounds, these are getting too tight around the waist so we may have to move on to a larger diaper. (But the bottom part still fits fine, so I'm actually trying to think of a simple way to just extend the waist.) If I can figure this out, we have much more wear left in these diapers! I would recommend them.

These were the first cloth diapers we tried and the only all-in-ones we used. We found them on sale in both newborn and infant sizes and were suckered by how much cheaper they were than other AIO's. In the newborn period and early infancy, the lack of gussetting around the legs means that poo just comes right out, regardless of which liner you use or how you use it. Later, the lack of gussetting again means that the inner diaper portion can very easily wick urine onto baby's clothing the second it gets wet.
We still occasionally use these when we need to do laundry, but these diapers are strictly for at-home, daytime use. They've held up reasonably well in the wash, but of course the velcro gets linty and the waterproof layer tends to tear around the places where the velcro is sewn in, making it even more prone to leaks.

I started my baby in these diapers when he was 10lbs. The diaper was so tall it come nearly up to his nipples. The front flap also wrapps way around to his back.

That being said, I do like the diapers. We used the smaller size with no leaks but they didnt fit for long because we couldn't use them until after his belly button healed. To make these diapers economical, they would have to be used in more than 1 child. I am going to save them for a next baby.

My husband will actually use these because they are so easy. They don't stain easily and are easy to wash. Less leaks than my Fuzzi Bunz.

When we decided to do cloth diapers there were SO many options, I like the idea of an all-in-one because it seemed like the easiest route for me and mostly my husband :) these diapers are okay for the price but the outer shell material is a lot rougher and more plastic feeling then I prefer. They work fine but when I'm changing diapers these are the ones I use when it's laundry day... Haha but the work fine for the price!!

Comments about Kushies Baby Kushies Ultra Diapers 5-Pack - Infant (10-22lbs):

I purchased these diapers as an alternative to traditional cloth diapers for our daughter. I only have two complaints. First, they are a little bulky. And second, the attached insert makes them awkward to rinse out. I finally decided to cut them out of the diapers and just add extra cloth inserts for additional absorbancy. It was much easier to be able to separate the liners from the diapers.

Comments about Kushies Baby Kushies Ultra Diapers 5-Pack - Infant (10-22lbs):

If you're looking for a relatively inexpensive way to build up a stash of cloth diapers, these diapers may work for you, considering the cost of most cloth diapers upfront.

Pros: They are very easy to use, and I don't see them taking any longer to dry than my other types of diapers. Haven't had any major issues with pee leaks.

Cons: Poop almost always leaks with these diapers (but my son is young and not on solids yet - so they may work better for older babies). Now that my son has more of a routine going, I only put these on him when I'm pretty sure he's not going to poop in them!

You basically get what you pay for with these. There are much better cloth diapers out there, but they are typically much more expensive. I still use these quite a bit, but they definitely aren't perfect.

Comments about Kushies Baby Kushies Ultra Diapers 5-Pack - Infant (10-22lbs):

We cloth diaper, but found start-up costs prohibitive. We bought these, and were given some of another brand. The other brand we can use more as a cover, stuffing with a flat or prefold. The stuffed diaper gets soaked, and changed, and the outer diaper can be used again (unless it was a mega soak, or poop. Baby poop goes everywhere in the diaper). Kushies do not work well in this system, but are excellent as single use cloth diapers (for which they were designed). They seem to be comfortable on our little one, and they hold what needs to be held. I especially like them at night, when LO tends to hold the pee in for hours, and then let it all out at once. The Kushies absorb everything, and are kind to LO's skin until I change the diaper.
The biggest down to them is really just an irritant: the velcro tabs always seem to come open in the wash, and I pull out one Kushie with a string of flats caught at the tab.

I bought these 5 years ago when my daughter was born, saved them when she potty trained and now I'm using them for my son. He's 9 months old and they are starting to show some wear and tear - but I've saved a lot on disposable diapers over the years! put them in a bucket of vinegar & water, dump the whole thing in the washer when full, spin, wash with a little soap, and dry on a rack. They are as white as when I got them. I use 25 diapers and wash every other day, or sometimes 3 days. I do use a disposable at night for my son, so I don't have to change him at night.
