I purchased this for my 2 year old twin grandchildren (boy and girl). Both of them love this toy and will always bring it out when I am watching cooking shows. They are big Dora fans so this just added to the fun that Dora speaks and all of the sounds that the stove makes. It is the perfect size for 2-5 year olds and the pots and dishes are large enough for them to handle with ease. It was super easy to put together and I have had no issues with parts falling off.

I bought this for my 3 year old son who loves Dora and after seeing the commercial it was all he wanted. The premise of the kitchen is a good one as it gives a few interactive suggestions for kids to play with like directing them to find certain foods. The base of the kitchen is a bit flimsy but not the worst I've seen. My biggest complaint is the graphics. They are cardboard cut outs that do not fasten well to the kitchen. They keep falling out and you are left with a bare plastic cut out wall. One would think with this price point that the graphics would be printed onto the plastic and not just a loosely printed piece of thin cardboard. My son has not removed the cardboard himself. It just falls out as you open the oven door or put a pot up against the cardboard backsplash. I would suggest a price of $20 for this item to better reflect the quality.

Comments about Fisher-Price 1001124 Dora the Explorer Cooking Adventure Kitchen:

My 2 year old daughter loves this kitchen. It's very light weight, so she moves it around where she wants it to be. It has a decent amount of utensils and food. When you press the little buttons in the back burner Dora talks and my daughter gets a kick out of it. The only problems are when you put a pan on the burner and press down it doesn't always activate the button. So most of the time she just presses the little buttons herself which doesn't make her a difference at all.
The other thing is the cardboard inserts for the oven door, and behind the stove are not really secured with anything significant so she pops them out sometimes.
We just left the one off of the oven door. That's not really that big of a deal either because she wants to see what she puts in the oven and the cardboard pie gets in her way. This kitchen is great my daughter disappears to go play with it often.

Overall, my granddaughter loves the kitchen. She has only gotten to play with it for a few hours since she just visits my house. Hopefully she will continue to enjoy it. She loved making us meals with the pretend food. The stovetop triggers noise and talking. However, I wish the sink and the oven made some sort of noise also. Other than that, the kitchen is well worth the money.

Comments about Fisher-Price 1001124 Dora the Explorer Cooking Adventure Kitchen:

I thought this would be a good item for my granddaugter. The decorative pieces are just laminated pieces of cardboard that easily fall off. The door for the oven has to be slammed to shut, which causes the cardboard decor to fall off. Everything else is fine, and my granddaughter likes it so we'll deal with the short comings of the product.

We got this for my 3 year old, and she loves it. It's not as big or as detailed as the previous Dora kitchen, but it's about $30 cheaper than similar character kitchens on the market. It talks, comes with lots of accessories, and is very cute. I would definitely recommend it.
