Fisher-Price® Imaginext® Castle Ogre

Ogre Figure with Action Tech™ Technology

The Fisher-Price® Imaginext® Castle Ogre is no ordinary medieval creature. Action Tech™ technology, the latest in interactive toys, is built into this Castle Ogre. Grab the handle to hear stomping sounds as the Ogre walks, or have him hold onto an Imaginext® figure (sold separately) with his spring-loaded fingers. Learn and Develop Through Imaginative Play

Kids will increase dexterity and hand and arm strength as they make the Ogre walk. Will the Ogre storm the castle or just make a friendly visit? A new adventure awaits every time kids play!

Fisher-Price® Imaginext® Castle Ogre

Compatible with the Imaginext® Eagle Talon Castle

When you bring the Ogre to the Eagle Talon Castle, Action Tech™ technology allows the castle to recognize and respond to the Ogre with different speech and sounds. Castle and additional accessories sold separately and subject to availability.

Product Description

The Fisher-Price Imaginext Castle Ogre is a new twist on kid-powered adventure! With a handle on his back and a ball-jointed waist this Ogre can really move! Squeezing the handle will raise his arms and when you move him around the arms will swing smashing anything standing in his way. Equipped with "Turn Tech" technology a squeeze of his handle will send a signal to the castle to warn the knights within of the approaching ogre. He even has his own lights and sounds to have a smashing good time. The Ogre also comes with a club.

My six year old got the Castle Ogre for his birthday a month ago and plays with it all the time! When the arms are raised (by gripping the handle on his back) the ogre says what is typical of it's kind ~ "Arrggg"!, when the arms drop there is a crashing sound. When his tongue is pressed he makes a chewing sound and when it is depressed make a "blech" sound as though he's spitting out something. There are a couple of other grunting type sounds that are loud enough without being over so. Here's the great thing ~ my son also has the castle in this set and it says special commands when the Ogre is near that it otherwise would not!
It has a great appearance, like almost all quality Fisher-Price toys, it is incredibly durable (has survived numerous drops on to our tile floor unscathed), and for it's size is not heavy. My son also loves the Imaginext figure-sized depression on the bottom of it's right foot where a figure can be "stepped" on and gets stuck into the bottom of the foot :). This is a fun addition to our embarrassingly large collection of Imaginext that has provided my son with years of wonderful imaginative play.

My son just loves all of his castle toys but the ogre just didn't make it. My son was, admittedly very rough on it (he is 3). The ogre is connected at the torso and the plastic around the bolts that connect the top and the bottom broke when the ogre fell from our coffee table. He had only had the toy for about 3 months. Unfortunately there really isn't any clear way to fix it, either. He is equally as rough on the dragon but the design of the dragon seems to hold up better and is in great condition.

I got this toy for my son who is 3. He loved it. However he is rough on some of his toys. When he slammed it down on the ground it broke at the waist. It was not fixable. This toy is too expensive to go buy another one. Its a shame it didnt last 2 months after Christmas.

My stepson Jayden Loved this product..... It goes with the castles that I had from my son 20 years ago and in a day of video games and Ipads, (which his mom always has him on, so she doesn't have to bother with him), Jayden who is 4, is just now learning how to use his immagination with actual toys that we sit and play with. This product is durable and the handle is easy to use. Jayden loves the way the arms go up and how scary he is.

My nephews love this series of toys. They are constantly playing with the castle and the ogre now allows them to play with monsters vs. knights. The interaction of the toy and the castle also helps stimulate their imagination as they are constantly playing with it.

Comments about Fisher-Price 1001124 Fisher-Price Imaginext Castle Ogre:

We bought the Ogre, the Dragon, the Castle and various other figures from our eldest grandson's 5th birthday. We loved that they are interactive and the castle talks and functions with the various pieces. It make playtime come to life! He loves them all and we could not have made a better purchase decision! We used the lay-a-way at our local store so that we wouldn't have to store the items and risk him finding them before his birthday. While the items were in lay-a-way, we found that they were a little cheaper elsewhere and when I went to pick up the lay-a-way Toys R Us honored those prices! Love it!
