Product Description

The Fisher-Price Smart Phone looks and sounds like a real smart phone, but it's a lot more fun! And this phone actually helps kids learn important phone numbers that you program in. Then Gabby, an interactive phone friend, will help your child learn those numbers, along with the alphabet, counting and more! Kids can enjoy interactive games, music, ring tones and sounds. And they can call neighborhood helpers like a police officer, firefighter, and pizza maker. Color-changing screen and number pad add to the fun.

Since 1930, Fisher-Price has been in business to create toys that fascinate and stimulate a child's imagination. Fisher-Price was founded in 1930, hardly the best time to launch a new business as the shadows of the Depression still loomed over American business. Still, Herman Fisher, Irving Price and Helen Schelle combined their diverse manufacturing and retailing experience to create a toy company and confidently brought 16 wooden toys to the International Toy Fair in New York City. The whimsical nature and magical surprises of those first Fisher-Price toys quickly caught on and became the hallmarks of Fisher-Price ever since. Fisher-Price believes in the potential of children and in the importance of a supportive environment in which they can grow, learn, and get the best possible start in life. Fisher-Price supports today's families with young children through our breadth of products that includes GeoTrax, Imaginext, Little People, Laugh and Learn, Thomas the Tank, Thomas and Friends, Elmo, Dora the Explorer, Go Diego Go, Sesame Street, Smart Cycle, Ni Hao Kai-Lan, Toy Story and other learning toys and pretend play items.

This is an awesome toy for our 1 yr old twins! My kids favor real toys (like my phone and remote control) and this is the first realistic toy for kids I've ever seen! It is so similar to my iphone and the remote control they fight over it all the time! When you press the buttons, it lights up in different colors. I do agree that the sound is low. But they don't mind. I am concerned as to how long the buttons will last. One week and still ok though.

Bought this for my 2 year old and he doesn't like it. The sound is so low you can barely hear it. It is nice to teach them important phone numbers, but when I can't even push the buttons it's useless. It has a great purpose but it needs a complete redo to be useable. I'm just glad I only wasted [$]!

wish i had seen these reviews:(

Comments about Fisher-Price 1001124 Fisher-Price Smart Phone:

I thought this toy would be so much fun for my 2 year old grandson who loves phones but I'm so disappointed with it. The volume is so low it can't be heard unless held up to your ear. For example, he can't hold it in front of him and hear the game directions etc. I know that companies can't have children's toys too loud but this is ridiculously quite. I buy so many Fisher Price toys and this is the first time I've been disappointed. The up side, the toy is made well and if he were able to hear it and play the games etc on it I think he would have tons of fun with it. It's all about the low low low volume:(((((

Like it but Volume is horrible

Comments about Fisher-Price 1001124 Fisher-Price Smart Phone:

this is a great idea, but the volume is horrible plus I wanted to have my children know what my cell number and my husband's cells numbers are since we do not have a home phone and that is not an option. The idea is great, just some tweaking would be great.

Best toy phone on the market

By Moochman

Comments about Fisher-Price 1001124 Fisher-Price Smart Phone:

Other toy phones are neon colors with oversize buttons, which look nothing like real phones. This toy phone looks similar enough to a real smartphone, that our toddlers stop begging for our phone when we let them play with it. They would rather play with real electronics than most toys, but this toy resembles real phones enough that they love it. They play with this for hours, and it's super durable. The volume level is perfect- the child can hear it clearly, but it's a gentle whisper, not grating at all for parents.

Comments about Fisher-Price 1001124 Fisher-Price Smart Phone:

First of all the volume is so low you can barely hear it. Secondly, my son dropped the toy one time and it broke the sound completely.

Not worth it - volume too low

By louisvillejg

Comments about Fisher-Price 1001124 Fisher-Price Smart Phone:

I thought this looked so cute. We bought this for our 4 year old for Christmas. I had hoped it would help him remember important phone numbers. The volume is soooo low, that he cannot hear the prompts, and he just moves on right away. I keep re-introducing it to him in hopes that he will want to play with it, but it's no good. I wish we could get either a refund or a different toy.

Disappointing

By smartconsumer

from Undisclosed

Comments about Fisher-Price 1001124 Fisher-Price Smart Phone:

This is a very awkward and hard-to-use toy. The sound is too low, the buttons are very hard to push even for an adult and the delay when pushing one button to the next is too long to hold the interest of a child. The "picture" the phone takes is hard to see and is just a line drawing on the tiny screen.
