I got this stroller system while I was pregnant w/ my 1st child. I did not want a bulky, heavy travel system like the many Graco ones. I figured I would be able to get by w/ a carrier, snap&go and an all-terrain/jogger like stroller. Over a year later - I was so RIGHT w/ this system! The Carrier/Carseat: The Flex-loc carrier is great!!! It is amply padded, light weight and the triangle handle is genius – lets you get a firm/steady grip on it from any angle. The sunshade is large and is not attached to the back like so many other carriers – this lets you "follow-the-sun" and keep baby's face shaded at all times, key when walking outdoors. Yes – the fabric of the seat is not as soft or "high-end" feeling as some other carriers but after a year of use I have found it to be very easy to clean & has kept its cushion perfectly. We used an extra soft/padded insert from 0-5 months (about $20 at BabiesRus) and my daughter was plenty comfy. My daughter is 14mo & I now have to change to a convertible carseat and am very sad to say good bye to this carrier. The Jogger: My sister has a BOB revolution and I wouldn't trade if she paid me! The jogger does have some cons – I'll get to them 1st so I can get to the pro's.Cons: Bulky when folded, heavy to lift into the car, double foot breaks are kind of cheap & a pain w/ flip-flops, fabric & padding are not as soft or cushiony as many other strollers (tip: [@] has tons of super cute stroller liners to add extra padding & comfort – I have one & it made all the difference – BeloBe makes specifically for this stroller). Pros: comes w/ parent bar (2 cup holders & a decent size/secure compartment – fits cell, chap-stick, ear-buds, paci & sm bottle of hand-sani easily), contoured handle bar is comfortable for running – unlike the strait bars which prop your elbows up too high, sunshade is huge & fully moveable to "follow-the-sun" & keep baby shaded at all times, child tray w/ 2 cup holders and large inset tray area for toys & snacks, wide seat base, reclines to almost flat (definitely enough for child to sleep comfy or change a diaper), large rear wheels & swivel front tire make steering a breeze – easily one-handed over smooth terrain like beach paths, large & durable storage basket – may say 5lb limit but I've had a gallon of milk & 10lb bag of dog food in it w/ no problem. This is a stroller you can actually RUN behind. Lock the front wheel and go – I was able to run a 8.16min mile (which is almost as fast as I can go on my own & definitely faster than "jogging"). I do not suggest jogging w/ the carrier attached tho – while it does lock-in & will not just pop off, I found it made the whole system too unsteady/top-heavy for my taste, a brisk walk or light jog is fine tho. I use it to walk & jog at the beach, camping, on nature trails, around the park and thru my neighborhood, even rollerskated while pushing it & never wished I had sprung for a BOB or other high-end jogger. **Tip for locking the carrier in - snap it in then there are red tabs (one on each side about 3" from the sunshade hinge) which fold out & you can pull up the bottom of the carrier to rest on the tabs, this reclines the carrier and also makes it very stable in the stroller - no bouncing while jogging.Overall – Best Jogger travel system for the price range & functionally comparable to many higher-end joggers. It is not a "every-day" stroller tho – is too bulky & heavy to be pulling in&out of the car multiple times a day or trying to wheel thru the mall. But for your carseat & outdoor/heavyduty stroller it cannot be beat for the price. After 14 months of use I am even happier w/ it than on the 1st day I used it.

I chose this stroller for a few features. One, the fact you can adjust the handles, I am very tall. Two, it rides very smooth (we call it the Cadillac of stroller rides) and looks nice. So overall its a good stroller. On the negative, there is one most annoying, frustrating, and angering feature. The carseat part buckle. Its the worst design of any stroller I've ever owned or even seen (and I have three boys and have had many strollers). The way you have to match up the two sides of the buckle like a puzzle peice then try to hold it together in just the perfect way while you try to click it into the base buckle and most of the time...the puzzle part doesn't stay just so and you have to start all over! Its extreamly frustrating. Drives my husband nutz! Why they chose this type of buckle is beyond me with so many other user friendly safe buckle methoods out there! When you have a screaming infant you are trying to get into the carseat and you are pushing on them trying to get this darn puzzle peice together and magically hold it together while they are squirming around is not fun!
Another small complaint is that the front wheel starts wobbling a lot and you have to stop to get it to stop bumping before you can start running or even walking again. Its like its bouncing all over like a pick-up truck with nothing in the bed. My baby isn't a light baby either. Also the little window that it has to peek at your baby won't stay open so its kinda pointless. So I got a piece of velcro and put it on the back of the window flap and the canopy so it will stay open.
Other then that it is a nice stroller and I like the way it looks and rides overall, its easy to fold, a bit heavy but what full size stroller isn't, it has great storage on top for cups and a middle compartment for keys/phones and what not and good size storage below.

We bought this travel set because we are always on the go. WORST decision EVER!!! It wobbles and shakes when you walk. The faster you go the more it shakes. It is on the heavier side and isn't the easiest to get in and out of the car. Bottom line, find another stroller system. The car seat base is also a bit of a job to get in the car, we have to constantly tighten the anchor straps and it still isn't as stable as I would like it.

This is a horrible product my car seat broke within the first month of using it with my preemie daughter. The front wheel wobbles to much. The metal holding up the basket snapped. I would never recommend this to anyone!

Comments about Baby Trend Expedition ELX Travel System Stroller - Everglade:

I'll first list the pros of this product because there are fewer than cons. The car seat is great, we still use it for my 10 month old and it's been safe and reliable but I had to remove the canopy because my son was able to easily remove it from the flimsy plastic slides and when he wasn't trying to pull it off, it would somehow come off anyway. it was touchy. I will say this setup is pretty stylish but that's about it.

The stroller, however, is awful. I'm a stay at home mom so it's mostly just me packing and unpacking this thing. It's heavy and bulky and awkward. you have to carry it everywhere because it wasn't made to roll while condensed and it doesn't fold nicely or easily. But my biggest complaint by far is that it's not stable at all. whether I have my son in the car seat connected to the stroller or just strapped into the stroller alone, it gets the speed wobbles terribly. You can't go any faster than a walk otherwise the front wheel causes the whole thing to vigorously shake like it's lost control. So forget using this to jog with (which is why I wanted this in the first place) If you lock the front wheel, it won't shake but then you can't turn. It's extremely frustrating. So needless to say, the second my son was big enough to safely ride in a cheap umbrella stroller, I bought one to save me the hassle of using this.

The wheels wobble a lot, shaking my baby up. I tried to pull stroller seat up so that I can have my child sit up but it does not stay in one place. My child is forced to lay back the entire ride. Being that it is a really big stroller it is very difficult to travel with. I cannot use public transportation with this stroller. I regret not doing enough research on this stroller I would have never bought it. However, I do like the storage basket.
