Product Description

The new 2010 Joovy Caboose Ultralight Stand-On Tandem Stroller is the best stroller for parents of two young children. If you go on any family outings this is the stroller to get! The unique Stand On Tandem design empowers your older child to get on and off the stroller without help from mom or dad. The Caboose is the perfect stroller for theme parks like Disney World, Sea World, and the local mall or park; it moves your family smoothly in these environments. The Caboose has made riding in a stroller a fun thing to do; especially for the older child sitting/standing in the back. They suddenly become so independent and you will notice it with the big smile on their face!

We listen to our customers' feedback and added more! Check out the new front seat recline (3rd position 150 degrees) that allows your baby to nap comfortably. During these nap times the reclining seat covers the rear bench seat, so older brother or sister will have to stand in the rear. We did not sacrifice the size of the stroller by stretching it, we wanted to keep the short, single stroller wheel base, making it the easiest handling tandem stroller - by far.

For even more comfort we have added a rear suspension and now all FOUR wheels will cushion the ride for your little ones. For added safety we have put in a linked parking brake, press on either pedal and both sides will lock. The Ultralight also includes the famous neoprene Joovy Parent Organizer. It is fully loaded with two cup holders, two pockets, a zippered pocket that's perfect for keys, cell phones, cameras, etc. Of course, also included is the car seat adapter, turning the Caboose into a travel system for two.

The improvements don't stop there. We designed a larger storage basket, and you will also find big side pockets accessible from the outside making shopping even easier. The new Ultralight has the familiar huge canopy Joovy is known for. You will love it on those hot summer days.

Features

  • The Caboose Ultralight is the most lightweight, compact, maneuverable tandem available
  • Oversized canopy with visor extension. Three position reclining front seat
  • Large storage basket with side pockets. Parent organizer included
  • Linked rear parking brakes. Easy trigger fold design
  • Removable tray with 2 cup holders. Universal car seat adapter included

The "brownie" color is misleading on all the websites including joovy.com itself. Its more of a mud brown, and doesn't coordinate very well with the dark brown Greco Safeseat we purchased. That said, I love that I have a semi-compact, easily maneuverable way to tote by precious cargo. The parent organizer is great! The storage compartment is huge, and folds down pretty easily. I purchased this for my soon to be two year old, and our newborn we're expecting sometime in September.

My only dislike is the lack of padding on the toddler seat back.. I sensed that my toddler was a little uncomfortable when seated up against the back.

Took about 1/2 hr to install. All in all, I'm pretty happy with it. It looks high quality, sturdy, and has gotten great reviews.

This is our second try at a Joovy Ultralight. The stroller is sturdy, rolls smoothly, doesn't feel flimsy, turns on a dime, steers more easily than any other double stroller, it's more compact, and all the "major" things about this stroller are wonderful.

The handles for both the parent and back child are made of foam. Our child ripped off our first Joovy Ultralight stroller's foam handle by accidently rubbing his jeans against the handle when he got off his back seat. It was a huge rip and looked awful, so we returned the stroller as that was within the 2nd use. We replaced it with a nother one & it arrived with a cut in the parent's handlebar. I called the company and they wouldn't acknowledge that it was a problem and recommended that I go to the store and buy grip tape. Maybe it's just me, but I don't want to go to the store and buy tape for a stroller I just spent over $200 for! If it arrives damaged, why wouldn't they fix it for me? I didn't even touch it yet! Good grief.

So, overall it's great. I've just been through many strollers and find that the "perfect" stroller (which are our single and double joggers) just costs between $300 & $500. I just wanted a decent one for running errands & this does the job - with it's cheaply made and ripped handles.

Comments about Joovy Caboose Ultralight Stand-On Tandem Stroller - Brownie:

I bought this at the request of my daughter, she has #2 on the way and her first is 26 months. They put it together and the little seat in the back for the older sibling didn't latch correctly and it ended up pinching his hand! Sure they could have secured it with zip ties but when you pay this much for something you want it to be working out of the box. They brought it back to the store to exchange and had a WONDERFUL experience with their store. Not only did they get the stroller exchanged they gave them a refund on the price since it had gone down so they could purchase additional things! Now they have the replacement stroller and are very happy. We'll see how it does when baby comes along.

It's ok so far. The only complaint that I have is that the bar on the bottom sticks out too far and I am constantly kicking it when I'm walking. It's kind of a major design flaw. Also, We got the ultra light one but it is still pretty heavy.

Comments about Joovy Caboose Ultralight Stand-On Tandem Stroller - Brownie:

We have used this stroller to take walks in our neighborhood and have gone to several summer street festivals. My 2.5 year old daughter loves being able to jump on and off of the stroller at will. However, my nearly two year old niece fell off when trying to jump off while riding. My 4 month old baby loves riding in the front, and sits up just fine with the seat slightly reclined. As other reviewers have said though, when the seat is reclined, the back rider has to lean forward. My daughter hasn't complained about it, as she primarily uses the stroller for a little rest between running/walking along beside us. I think that this stroller is terrific for the ages of our children right now. It is just as small as our single stroller (a jogger), folds up nicely, and rolls nicely. Would recommend it to anyone.

Comments about Joovy Caboose Ultralight Stand-On Tandem Stroller - Brownie:

Just got this amazing stroller in the mail, we already LOVE it! Hubby put it together in a snap, & our 4 yr old son couldn't wait to try it out, that speaks for itself, since he hasn't been a fan of riding in any stroller for awhile. He says the bench/platform in the back of this beauty is his "big boy area" =) My youngest, who is 6 months old, was fussing at the time when Hubby was putting it together. The moment we placed him & his bro. in it, he became happy =D He loved being pushed around, & I love how comfortable it is for both of them. Steers like a single stroller, smooth ride, comfortable for both children, lightweight for what it is (other double strollers are TANKS! This one isn't!), love the parent organizer which will be super handy when out & about, & love the side pockets on the main basket underneath, which is super handy for smaller stuff that you just want to grab out of there quick. Looking forward to adding many trips to this stroller w/our active little boys =) I do have to point out: this stroller is perfect for any parent of any height & strength. I'm 4'11", & the handle bar is great for me to handle. A bit high, but hey, I'm a short person! haha! Easy for me to fold up as well.. Highly recommend this practical stroller already, you will LOVE IT! So WORTH the extra $$$!
PS: Our infant son doesn't use an infant seat anymore, so the carseat adapter that came with the stroller will be put away. BUT, if he was using it, I can guarantee it would def. come in handy. Will def. use it with our next baby =D

Comments about Joovy Caboose Ultralight Stand-On Tandem Stroller - Brownie:

I should have saved myself the hassle (and garage full of strollers) and just bought this one the first time. It's worth the extra money. Super light, small footprint, easy to maneuver, wheels are quiet and provide a nice ride. It feels much sturdier than the competition too. It holds most infant carriers and my son can hitch a ride on the back. It's not good for all day with 2 kids if you want them both to nap at the same time or take a boat load of stuff with you, but for everyday use and simplicity, I give it thumbs way up. My sitter even commented on how much nicer it is than other strollers she's used.

Comments about Joovy Caboose Ultralight Stand-On Tandem Stroller - Brownie:

I have been searching for the perfect stroller and my goodness, I think that I have finally found it!!
I have one of the huge bulky double strollers for my boys who are 9 months and 2 years. I could not find something that worked for all of us and this does. It's very lightweight, folds fast and pushes with ease. My youngest has enough room to sit without looking uncomfortable and lay back when he's tired. My oldest just loves that he is able to stand up ride along and jump off whenever he needs too. And I love that I can store my keys phone, and my bags and have enough room for it all!
I have Brownie color and I love it! I'm glad that I finally found the perfect stroller that we all love.
The only cons that I have are... upon receiving my stroller, it was missing the 2 pins for the wheels. I had to run to the local hardware store and buy 2 and thank goodness they worked! And I wish it had a sturdy cup holder that holds a fountain soda in a cup.

Love this double stroller! We needed a double stroller that would be great for our 4 year old and 5 week old boys. This works great. It was easy to assemble. VERY easy to push and turn with both boys in it (sitting and car seat).
Easy to fold up and easy to convert from seat to car seat option.
My 4 year thinks he is a "big boy" because he can sit or stand and get on and off the stroller when he wants.
I would recommend to families that needs a double stroller but the older child is big for a traditional double stroller seat.
