Item Availability

If an item is available for purchase on our site, you will see a red "Add to Cart" button on the right-hand side of the product detail page. The availability of an item is shown by either a or an next to the purchasing option.

If you do not see the red "Add to Cart" box, the item is temporarily out of stock and cannot be ordered at that time. However, you do have the option, on most items, to add an out of stock item to The Baby Registry or Wish List!


Your Cart

When you're shopping on our website, you can save items you would like to buy in your Cart until you are ready to purchase them. It works in the same way as a cart in a retail store. Item(s) in your Cart will remain there until they are purchased or removed.

Here are some of the things you can do with the item(s) in your Cart:

  • Update the quantity: If you would like more or less of an item in your Cart, simply type in the quantity you wish to purchase and click "Update Cart."
  • Remove an item(s) from your Cart: If you change your mind about an item(s), click "Remove," or change the quantity to zero and click "Update Cart."
  • How to get it: Items may be available for Shipping or Store Pickup. If you have already selected an option, it will be indicated in the "How to get it" column. If you have not selected an option, you will be able to do so in Cart.

    Note: Some items may not be eligible for all 'How to get it' options.

    If you have selected Store Pickup in Cart but have not selected a store, you will be required to select a store location for the pickup option before proceeding to checkout.

  • Return to shopping: If you wish to continue shopping after reviewing the contents of your Cart, choose one of the options and continue to search our website. You can return to your Cart at any time by clicking on "Cart" at the top of the page.
  • Proceed to secure checkout: Once you're done shopping, click "Checkout" to purchase the item(s) in your Cart. Our checkout process is fast, easy and secure. See our secure shopping guarantee for details.
  • The Baby Registry or Wish List purchases in your Cart: If you add an item(s) to your Cart from The Baby Registry or Wish List, this item(s) will be identified as such in your Cart. The corresponding registry or Wish List will be updated once you make your purchase to help avoid duplicate gifts.



  1. Proceed to Checkout: If you have an account, sign in to enjoy a faster checkout process. Please note: You can create an account at any time. However, you do not need one to make a purchase.

  2. Enter Billing and Shipping Address: To avoid delays in the authorization process, please enter your Billing Address exactly as it appears on your billing statement. Important: Store Pickup orders require a driver's license or government-issued ID, where the first and last names match the Billing address entered.

    • You can either choose your Billing Address as your Shipping Address, or select an alternate address. You can also ship to multiple addresses.

    • During checkout, you will have the option of adding, editing or deleting an address. You can also make these changes in the "My Account" section of our website.

    • Please verify your shipping information before you proceed. We are unable to make any changes to the shipping destination once your order has been submitted.

    • If the items you have added to your cart are for Store Pickup only, you will not be required to enter a shipping address. The store location you selected will be shown throughout checkout.

  3. Gifting Options: For gift item(s), check the box in the "Are you purchasing a gift today?" section to view your gifting options. On the next page, you can select gift wrap, if available, and a gift message (one per address).

    Note: Gift wrap and messaging are not currently offered for Store Pickup items.

  4. Select a Shipping Method: Click the button next to the shipping method of your choice for each item in your cart, including gift and non-gift items. Then, click "Continue Checkout" to proceed to the next page.

  5. Payments

    1. Select your Payment Method: We accept most major credit cards, debit cards, "R"Us gift cards and several third-party payment options. We also offer cash payment through our Pay in Store option for most items. For details, click here

    2. Gift Cards: If you would like to use an "R"Us gift card, simply enter your card number and PIN (if applicable). Please note: You can redeem up to 5 gift cards per order, but each card must be entered separately. Gift Cards may not be used in conjunction with the Pay in Store payment option when placing an order, but can be redeemed when paying in the store. Additionally, gift cards may not be used to purchase other gift cards.

    3. Promotional Codes: If you have a promotional code, enter it into the "Promotional Code" field. Promotional codes need to be entered one at a time. Using multiple promotional codes might void promotions that have already been applied. Any promotional discounts will be reflected in the Cost Summary section on the Review page. Promotional codes may not be redeemed in store for Pay in Store orders; All codes must be redeemed online at time of the initial order.

    4. Endless Earnings eGift Card: You may use your Endless Earnings eGift Card towards the purchase of your order. Please see the Endless Earnings Terms and Conditions for details.

  6. Review Page

    Carefully review your information on this page for accuracy - shipping address or Store Pickup location(s), shipping method(s) and billing information. You can also view any applied discounts and promotions, total charges and gift options. Please note: You can still edit information on this page.

    If you are a Rewards"R"Us member and would like to get points for your purchase, please be sure that you have entered your Rewards information in the appropriate location during checkout.

    Once you've verified that all the information is accurate, complete your purchase by clicking "Submit Order." Please note: We cannot change or cancel an order once it has been placed. See the Changing or Canceling Your Order page for more information.

    If you're a returning guest, simply enter your security code and go. You will still be able to make edits to your order.

  7. Receipt Page

    1. View and print your receipt: After checkout is complete, your order number will be displayed on the Receipt page. Here, you'll also be able to print your order receipt by clicking "View & Print Receipt." You will also receive an email confirmation of your receipt. Be sure to save a copy of this email in case you have questions about your order.

    2. Store Pickup orders: The receipt page will include detailed information on the next steps for picking up your order.

    3. Cash / Pay in Store orders: The receipt page will include detailed information on the next steps for paying for your order.

    4. Rewards"R"Us: If you are not a Rewards"R"Us Member, you can receive credit for your current order by signing up on the Receipt page.

    5. Create an Account: If you do not have an account, you can create one by entering your email address and password in the "Create An Account" box. Then, click "Submit." By creating an account, you can conveniently store your order history, billing address and shipping address. You'll also be able to track and check the status of your order(s). Your password keeps your information secure and ensures that only you can access your account.


Redeeming a Promotional Code

How to redeem promotional codes:

  1. Enter the code(s) in the "Promotional Code" field on the Payment page and then click "Apply." Codes are CaSe SeNsItIvE.
  2. Promotional codes need to be entered one at a time. Using multiple promotional codes might void promotions that have already been applied.
  3. Promotional codes can be applied up to your order's total value.
  4. If accepted, the code will display with a "Status: Applied" message, and your discount will appear in the payment summary. If you add or delete a promotional code, your payment summary will refresh accordingly.
  5. If not accepted, the code will display with a "Status: Not Applied" message. Here are possible reasons your code wasn't processed:
    • You have not added all of the required items to your cart (including any gift with purchase items).
    • Many codes are one-time use. You've already used this code on a previous order.
    • Your order has not met all of the promotional requirements. (Note: Not all items are eligible for all promotions.)
    • The code entered was not within the valid effective dates.

How Can I Purchase a Gift Card Online?

  • Go to our Gift Card purchase page, or click on this link and follow instructions to checkout.
  • You will be provided with three options for an online Gift Card purchase:
    • The "Standard Gift Card" allows you to select from an assortment of pre-designed gift cards. If you are interested in this option simply click on the "click here to choose a card" button at the bottom of the Standard Gift Card Section.
    • The "eGift card" allows you to email a card to a recipients email address which they should receive within a half hour.
    • The "Design Your Own Gift Card" option allows you to select either a Toys "R" Us or Babies "R" Us template, add your own images, and text to create your very own Gift Card! This option also comes with a Personalized Greeting Card that you can personalize as well. If you are interested in this option, simply click on the "click here to design a card"

      To add an image, select that tab and click "Choose File" to locate the JPEG, GIF, PNG, TIF, or BMP image file on your computer that you want to use. Click "Upload New Image" to place it on your card. Use the direction pad to adjust your image on the card. To add text, select that tab and type your message in the box provided. You may also adjust the font, color, size and style.
  • Once you have selected the type of Gift Card you'd like to purchase (Standard, eGift or Personalized Gift Card), you'll need to select the dollar value you would like loaded to your Gift Card.


Can I Order Gift Cards Over the Phone?
Yes, Standard Gift Cards and eGift Cards can be ordered over the phone. Personalized Greeting Cards and Personalized Gift Cards must be purchased online.


What if I Can't Figure Out How to Order a Personalized Greeting Card and Personalized Gift Card?
Simply call 1-800-TOYSRUS and an online specialist can explain the process to you and answer any questions you may have!


Why Do I Need to Provide my Return Address When Purchasing a Gift Card Online?
We require your return address so that in the event that your card cannot be delivered, the envelope containing your card will be returned to you at the address that you provide.


How Do I Check the Balance on a Gift Card?
Click and you will be directed to the Sign-in Page. You can also check the gift card balance using the QR code on the back of your gift card!

  • Simply scan the QR code on the back your gift card with your mobile device. You will be instantly directed to the gift card balance inquiry screen.


How Do I Redeem a Gift Card Online?

  • Go to or and select the items you want to purchase.
  • When you are ready to checkout, click "Shopping Cart" and proceed through our regular checkout.
  • You have two locations where you can enter your gift card number (located on the back of the card)...
    • On the Payment page, or
    • On the Review Your Order page
  • Enter your 16-digit card number
  • Enter your 4-digit PIN number.
  • Click "Apply Gift Cards."
  • After you have applied your Gift Card(s) to your order, you'll be asked to enter your credit card information. Gift Cards must always be used in combination with a credit card...
    • If the value of your order is equal to or less than the value of your Gift Card, no amount will be charged to your credit card.
    • If the value of your order is greater than the value of your Gift Card, we will charge the balance of the order to your credit card at the time of shipment.

NOTE: Please hold on to any Gift Cards used for your purchase, even if you have used the total value. In case of an order adjustment or cancellation, we will issue credit to the original tender. Additionally, we'd like you to note that funds will be deducted from your gift card at the time your order is created.


Can I use a Toys"R"Us Gift Card in a Babies"R"Us store, FAO store or at
"R"Us Gift Cards are universal - no matter what "R"Us logo is displayed on the card, it can be redeemed at Babies"R"Us or Toys"R"Us, or online at or unless stated otherwise.


What is a PIN Number and where is it Located?
A PIN is a personal identification number that is unique to your "R"Us Gift Card. It is located on the back of your card in the bottom-right as shown in the picture below:


What if my "R"Us Gift Card does not have a PIN?
If your "R"Us Gift Card does not have a PIN, please contact customer service at 1-800-TOYSRUS.


Is there a Limit on How Many Cards I Can Use On An Order?
Yes. You can redeem up to five Gift Cards per order.


Can I Use Promotional Codes if I Use My Gift Card?
You can use eligible promotional codes when placing an order that can be paid for with an "R" Us Gift Card.


Why Do I Have To Enter My Credit Card Information If I am Paying With A Gift Card - Are You Going To Charge My Credit Card?
We will not charge your credit card unless the value of your order is greater than the value on your Gift Card. If this is the case, we will charge your credit card for the balance of the order at the time of shipment.


When Do You Deduct The Money From My Gift Card?
Unlike a credit card, we deduct the value from your card right after your order has been submitted. In the event that all or part of your order is cancelled, the value that was deducted will be added back on to your gift card.


Why Do I Need To Keep My Gift Card?
It's important to keep your Gift Card, even if there is no value left on it until your order has arrived and your are completely satisfied. If you lose or misplace your gift card, and you return your order, or all or part of your order gets cancelled, we will return the value to the original card used.


What If I Lose My Gift Card But I Return My Order Or It Gets Cancelled?
If you lose or misplace your card, or it's stolen, simply call us at 1-800-TOYSRUS! A customer service specialist will be able to assist you!


How Can I Redeem My Gift Cards at an "R"Us Store?
Present your Gift Card at the register, just like you would any other form of payment. The amount you spend will be deducted from your Gift Card balance.


Can I Use a Canadian Toys "R" Us or Babies "R" Us Gift Card online?

Are There Any Rules and Regulations Regarding Gift Cards That I Should Know About?
There are a few Rules and Regulations and are really very simple...

  • Gift Cards cannot be redeemed for cash or returned for a refund.
  • A maximum of five Gift Cards may be applied to an order.
  • Gift Cards may be applied towards the price, gift wrap, shipping, and tax charges for eligible items.
  • Gift Cards may not be used to purchase gift cards - either Toys"R"Us or other gift cards.
  • Paper gift certificates that were purchased in Toys"R"Us stores may not be applied to online orders.
  • Gift Card purchases are not available at Google Checkout. You must complete the standard Toys"R"Us and Babies"R"Us checkout process if you wish to purchase "R"Us Gift Cards.
  • The purchase of Gift Cards cannot apply towards any "R"Us promotion or promotional event. For example, when you purchase a Gift Card, the amount you spend on the Gift Card would not count toward the minimum purchase amount for a free shipping offer.
  • Although a promotional gift card behaves similarly to a regular gift card, there are two important differences:
    • Most promotional gift cards expire, except in states where prohibited by law.
    • Promotional gift cards may not be available for immediate redemption. There could be a delay of up to 6 hours between when the card is available for redemption.
    • Any type of restriction regarding the redemption of the promotional card will be clearly indicated on the front of the card.


Sales Tax

The amount of sales tax charged to an order varies depending on the state the item(s) will be shipped to and local sales tax laws. You will be able to see the sales tax amount before submitting your order.

For origin base tax states:
Sales tax is estimated. Actual sales tax will be recalculated and determined at the time of shipment, when the actual ship from, address is known.

Important Payment Information


  • For security, your billing name, address and phone number must match the information that appears on your credit card monthly billing statement. We reserve the right to cancel any order that does not match these criteria.

Authorization Process and Holds on Credit and Debit Cards

Before your item(s) is shipped, your debit or credit card statement may show what looks like a charge to your account - This is known as an "authorization hold" and is placed on your account by your financial institution to make sure funds are available once your order ships. While you have not been charged, this hold does lower your available balance and typically lasts 3-7 days, depending on the policy of your financial institution.

  • Your credit or debit card will not be charged until your item(s) is shipped, at which time we will email you tracking information.
  • If an order is canceled, the authorization hold will expire in accordance with the terms of your financial institution.
  • If you used a Gift Card to pay for your order, you may not receive credit back for a time period of up to 3 to 5 business days. You will receive an email confirming credit back to your ORIGINAL card once we are able to reissue credit.
  • Please see below for general guidelines on credit/debit card holds for most major financial institutions.

General Guidelines for Authorization Holds based upon financial institutions

Regular Orders = Authorization Holds occur at the time the order is placed and will typically drop once the order is shipped.

Presell Orders = Since the expected ship date is typically longer than non-presell orders, your card may be reauthorized prior to shipping to ensure the funds are held.

Cancelled Orders = Timelines for authorization holds vary based on financial institutions policies.

The Toys"R"Us and Babies"R"Us website is a public site; therefore we ask that you follow some basic rules when submitting a review. Toys"R"Us reviews all postings, and we reserve the right to reject or remove any review.

Here are some of the things that can cause a review to be rejected:

  • Offensive or abusive language
  • Reviews that are not relevant to the product being reviewed
  • Reviews that attempt to solicit responses from others (creating a forum)
  • Reviews that contain content about competitors

If approved, your review will appear in its entirety. We will not edit any content, although we will delete any references to the following:

  • Website addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Personal or business addresses
  • Email addresses
  • Full names (First name/last name)
