What is My Total Delivery Time?

For select items, we offer an Estimated Delivery Date during checkout. An Estimated Delivery Date is a calculation of several factors, including item availability, processing time in our warehouse, the shipping method you select and the shipping destination. When we can accurately calculate Estimated Delivery Dates, we'll provide them to you during checkout, as well as in your Order Confirmation email and in the My Account section on the website. Please note that Estimated Delivery Dates are estimates only, and are not guaranteed. Also, if using our Pay in Store payment option, shipping is dependent upon your payment in full at the store. A good rule of thumb is to add 2 additional days if using that option.

The delivery time for your order depends on the shipping method you select. We offer several different shipping methods. The choices available depend on...

1)The item(s) purchased.
2) The in-stock availability of the product.
3) The destination address.

Each shipping method has its own restrictions and charges that will be applied to your order. This is based upon a simple calculation of order processing time and actual shipping time in business days. Please note that business days are Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays within the United States.

Calculating estimated shipping dates is based on several factors, including your destination address and how quickly we can obtain and assemble items for your shipment (the "usually ships within" time is listed on a product's detail page to help you gauge how quickly we can ship your order out).

To calculate your delivery estimate, simply take the time called out in the "Availability" section on the product detail page ("Usually leaves warehouse in..." or what we refer to as "Processing Time") and add the time it takes a package to travel from our facilities to your destination address, based on the shipping method you've selected. Please note that orders for multiple items or multiple copies of a single item may take longer to assemble before we're able to ship them to you. Also, please don't forget to add 2 additional days to the "Usually leaves warehouse in/Processing time" timeframe if using our Pay in Store payment option.

  • Orders received after 12:00 pm EST in the distribution system, will begin processing the following business day.
  • Delivery time for oversized items differ slightly from the above options. Please refer to our Oversized Items section for details.
  • Delivery times for pre-order items are based upon the manufacturer's release dates. Please refer to our Delivery Date for Pre-Order Items for details.
  • 2 additional days should be added to your delivery date if using our Pay in Store payment option to accommodate the timeframe in which you have to visit the store and pay for your order.


Calculating Your Delivery Date: Pre-Order Items

Pre-Order items are available for purchase on the Toys"R"Us and Babies"R"Us website in advance of the manufacturer's general public release date. Pre-Order items are shipped directly to you once the stated release date arrives and you will be notified of your order status via email. You will not be charged for any item until it is shipped to you. Expected shipment time for each item will be shown in your cart. Please note, expected shipment times appearing in your cart specify when an item is expected to leave our warehouse, not when it will arrive at its final shipping destination. Release dates may vary based on the manufacturer.


How much will my Shipping Costs be?

Shipping costs are determined by:

Free Shipping eligibility

All items are eligible towards the free shipping promotion (please look for the red free shipping box) however, surcharges may apply for over-sized items. Eligible items ship FREE only if the dollar value of all eligible items in your basket meets or exceeds the free shipping promotional threshold (details). Eligible items will be charged the FLAT RATE fee if the dollar value of all eligible items in your basket is less than the free shipping promotional threshold (details

2)The destination of your item(s)

  • Destinations outside the continental US may incur higher shipping costs.

3)The shipping method you select

  • You will be prompted to pick your shipping option during checkout (Economy, Standard, Expedited, or Express).
  • Typically, a premium is charged to ship the item when selecting Expedited or Express shipping.

4)The size and weight of your item

  • Size and weight determine shipping costs(details).
  • If you wish to avoid paying for shipping, you may choose Free Store Pick Up or Ship to Store, when available.

5)The number of shipping destinations

  • If you ship items to multiple addresses, a separate flat rate, if applicable, will apply to each shipping destination (details).

Your total shipping will be calculated automatically during checkout prior to the completion of your order.

How can I tell if an Item is Available for Purchase?

If an item is available for purchase on our site, you will see a red "Add to Cart" button on the right-hand side of the product detail page. Below the “Add to Cart” button you will be able to see how long it takes to leave the warehouse should you choose to purchase it. The availability of an item is shown by either a or an next to the purchasing option

If you do not see the red "Add to Cart" box, the item is temporarily out of stock and cannot be ordered at that time. However, you do have the option, on most items, to add an out of stock item to The Baby Registry or Wish List!

When you See This It Means This
In stock for shipping The item you are interested in is available for purchase online and will ship to your home or desired location.
Out of stock for shipping The item you are interested in is currently unavailable online and therefore cannot be purchased and shipped at this time. If you are interested in this item, you may select "Notify Me When Available" if the option is presented or, simply continue to check back with us as we do our best to replenish inventory frequently.
Not eligible for shipping The item you are interested in is not available for shipping. You may still order the item however it cannot be shipped.
Eligible for Store Pickup The item you are interested in is available for Store Pickup. You would simply need to place your order online and select the Store Pickup option (follow the easy steps during checkout).
Not eligible for Store Pickup The item you are interested in is not available for Store Pickup. You still have the option to purchase the item online and ship it to a desired location (excluding a "R"Us store location).
Sold in stores The item you are interested in is sold in our land-based stores. You may check your local store for availability by calling 1-800-ToysRUs or simply visiting during store hours.
Not sold in stores The item you are interested in is not sold in our land-based stores. This does not mean that it is not sold online so if you are interested in purchasing the item, simply search our site.

How Are Oversized Items Handled?

Usually, oversized Items arrive in 7-14 full business days. Some larger and heavier items can only be sent via ground freight, and it's important to note that the freight trucking company will only be delivering the item curbside as White Glove delivery is not a service that we offer. Since the item is likely to be heavy and large, we recommend that you have someone with you to help you move the item into your home. Some Carriers may call to set up the delivery. You must choose a 4-hour window on an available weekday and someone 18 years of age or older must be present to sign for the delivery. If you are giving the item as a gift, please include the recipient's phone number so the recipient can be contacted in the event the delivery needs to be scheduled.


Can I ship to Multiple Addresses?

Yes, you can ship to multiple addresses within the same order. Shipping to multiple addresses allows you to send products in your cart to more than one shipping address in just one order. For example, if you would like to send items in your order to two different addresses, select the "Ship to multiple addresses" option, on the Address page in checkout. You can also select a different shipping method for each item. You do not need to place separate orders. For more information on shipping to multiple addresses, see our Checkout section of Help.


How Can I Get My Items to Arrive Faster?

For most items, you will be given the option of selecting 1 of 4 different shipping methods:

Economy Shipping

Standard Shipping

Expedited Shipping

Express Shipping

The method that you choose determines how quickly your item will arrive. For more details, go to the Delivery Time section of Help here.

Please note: Some oversized items may only have the standard freight option and will arrive 7-14 business days after leaving our warehouse. Additionally, if using the Pay in Store payment option, your order will not ship until your payment is made in full. You will have 48 hours to pay for your order or it will be cancelled.


Can I Change my Shipping Method After I have Placed My Order?

At this time, no changes can be made to an order once it has been submitted. In order to select the appropriate delivery time for your needs, please refer to Estimating Delivery Time.


If I choose Express Shipping, will I get my order the next day?

It depends... Your order needs to be placed and dropped into our warehouse system prior to 12:00 pm EST in order for it to ship the same day. It usually takes several hours for your order to drop into the warehouse system, so a good rule of thumb is to allow at least 2 hours for that to occur. If you miss this timeline, your order will be processed that day but will not ship out until the next business day. Also, please note that there are no weekend pick-ups or deliveries so you'll need to take that into consideration as well. Additionally, if you select our Pay in Store payment option, your payment must be received in full prior to your order shipping.


ShopRunner FREE 2-Day Shipping - How quickly can will my items arrive?

ShopRunner is our Membership only Free2-Day-Shipping program. "2-Day" Shipping means that the item(s) will arrive at the shipping address within 2 business days from the time it leaves the warehouse. Are There Any Rules And Restrictions I Should Know About?

Please be aware of the following in order to assist you with your shipping selections and needs:

  • Orders are shipped on business days only (Monday through Friday) excluding federal holidays within the United States.
  • Your order must be received and your credit card authorized by 12:00 p.m. (noon) EST or your order will not be processed until the following business day. This applies to all shipping methods, including Express Shipping.
  • Expedited Shipping and Express Shipping orders require a street address.
  • Orders paid for with our Pay in Store payment option will not ship until paid in full at any Toys"R"Us or Babies"R"Us store. You will be provided with 48 hours in which to pay for your order or your order will be automatically cancelled.
  • Items shipped to the following destinations may only be shipped via the U.S. Postal Service and cannot be expedited:
    • PO Boxes in Continental US
    • PO Boxes in Alaska and Hawaii
    • APO/FPO
    • US Territories (including Puerto Rico)
  • Please note that not all items are eligible to ship to APO/FPO/PO Box addresses. Please check individual product detail pages for restrictions.

Please allow for additional shipping and handling time for all oversized products shipping via a freight trucking company. These products cannot be expedited. Get more details about the delivery of your oversized products.


How Do I Track My Order?

Easy! Tracking numbers are assigned to packages at our warehouse almost immediately, and generally appear on our website along with your order information. It is possible that it may take up to 48 hours or longer before the package is checked into the carrier's tracking system. This basically means that even though your package has left our warehouse, the carrier may not be able to provide any information about your package for up to 48 hours or more.

Orders placed on the Toys"R"Us and Babies"R"Us website may be delivered by one of several different carriers and shipping methods, therefore, tracking availability may vary depending on:

1) The type of product you purchased
2) The 'How to get it' method you selected during checkout
3) The carrier that is delivering your product(s).

Occasionally, orders are delivered via a carrier that does not offer the ability to track a package. In these rare instances, "Order Status / Tracking" on the Toys"R"Us and Babies"R"Us website will not offer tracking information, but will still offer order status and other details.

Store Pickup orders will not be assigned tracking numbers. Order status for Store Pickup orders will be available within 15 minutes in the "Order Status/Tracking" area of our website. Order status will also be communicated via the order emails.

How is order status different from tracking information?

Your Order Status is supplied by Toys"R"Us and Babies"R"Us, and represents what is happening with your order between the time you place it and the time it ships from our warehouse. Once your order leaves our warehouse, it is handled by a carrier (such as FedEx, USPS or UPS) that may provide Tracking Information which will allow you to keep track of your order from the time it leaves our warehouse to the time it reaches its destination*. The tracking information is accessible from "Your Order History" on our website when it becomes available.

*Carrier-provided tracking information may not be available for up to 48 hours after a product is shipped from our warehouse.

What if the estimated delivery date has passed and I still don't have my order?

Please note that Estimated Delivery Dates are estimates only, and are not guaranteed. Due to many factors, Estimated Delivery Dates can also change between the time you place the order and receive an order confirmation. We do our best to provide accurate estimates and provide you with several other resources for tracking your order, such as order detail and tracking links. It's also important to note that if you selected our Pay in Store payment option, your order will not ship until payment is received in full.

Orders that are shipped via a trackable method (such as UPS) will have tracking information available in Your Account. Please check this information if available and read through the following options:

  • If the tracking information indicates the package has been delivered, please check with your neighbors or family members. Packages are occasionally left with neighbors, a building manager, or are placed somewhere relatively safe such as your porch, garage, or even behind bushes.
  • If the tracking information indicates the package is being returned to us, or if the address is incorrect, it may have been undeliverable.
