I've been using this monitor for just over a month now. I previously didn't see the utility of a video monitor, but we've starting using this in our toddler's room, and it's won me over on that front.

The images produced are fairly clear, but not HD quality. I like how you can have the sound on or off on the handheld device. I usually keep it on low, but there are times when I prefer it off.

The one time I had it unplugged for some period of time (less than a day, not showing the picture), it took a long time to re-charge and then it wasn't intuitive in regards to how it came back on (I had to play around with the buttons to get it working and linked again). The beeping as the battery died was also annoying - it is frequent and does not stop until you go plug it in (inconvenient if you are on a different floor, for example).

The camera unit itself has a temperature display that appears to not turn off and is unnecessary, as the temperature is on the remote display as well. The camera unit itself is also not inconspicuous. My 2 year old notices it and its lights sitting on his bookcase and wants to play with it. This is in part because of the temperature display, which is bright. The stand it sits on is pretty good, and allows you to angle the monitor easily.

Overall this is a good monitor, with a few small areas for improvement, specifically with the camera unit and battery life/notifications. I got a chance to try this monitor as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel.

I have been using the Angelcare AC310 video baby monitor for about a week now, and it has some pros and cons.
Pros:
I love the ability to monitor the temperature, both on the parent monitor and directly on the camera, this makes it super easy to see how you should dress baby for the night, especially since I have large temperature differentials in my house. Be forewarned the that the temperature is very bright on the camera, so if you are room sharing you may want to turn it off when you go to bed.
The magnetic stand and wall mount make it incredibly easy to change the camera from one to the other, making it much more portable than some other models.
Set up was super easy, and the parent monitor is incredibly light-weight, making it easy to take it with you all over the house and outside. The range of the monitor is excellent.
Cons:
Unlike some other reviewers, I don't think the night vision is very crisp, and there is no camera adjustment from the parent monitor. What it can move on the magnet holder is it. This can make things difficult if you don't have the "perfect" place to mount/stand the camera, but is not atypical of video monitors.
We accidentally turned on the motion sensor, and it is loud when it goes off. I also have a three year old, and the beeping on the motion sensor was loud enough to wake him up in another room. If you choose to go with that accessory, be forewarned that it sounds like a smoke detector.
Overall, this video monitor is fine, and while I wouldn't give it a glowing recommendation it is more than adequate for most needs, especially if you are looking for a model to take with you throughout a house and yard. Thank you to the weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me this monitor!

Great monitor

By Rebecca

from Canton, oh

Comments about Angelcare 4.3 inch LCD Video and Audio Baby Monitor - AC310:

I love that not only can I see my baby, the sound is also clear and at an audible volume (something I have yet to experience with other video monitors). The set-up was fairly straight forward; the only issue I've had is that I cannot figure out how to activate color mode vs black and white. I enjoy that I can communicate with my child from anywhere in the house, but you do have to speak excessively loud for it to come though clearly. The temperate reading is a selling point for me; our house has poor insulation and different rooms are very obviously different temperature, so it's nice to be able to see exactly how warm/cold my child's room is at any given point. There is a way to set up an alarm when the temperature is below or above a certain point, but either I haven't fully figured it out, or it doesn't always function correctly because my daughter's room has been below the set limit a few times. Overall, I'm content with this monitor; it serves its purpose of allowing me peace of mind and the ability to check on my child without disturbing her. Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me this monitor!

The best monitor

Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me this monitor!been using the Angelcare video monitor for a month and so far, I love it. The set up was incredibly easy. Literally plug in the camera, turn it on, and turn on the parent unit. The battery life on the parent unit is really good - I get 7-8 hours before it has to be plugged in. Also, you can set the noise sensitivity for the camera so that it picks up every teeny sound (for my newborn) or just the big stuff (for my toddler). I am extremely happy with my purchase!

Incredible monitor

Comments about Angelcare 4.3 inch LCD Video and Audio Baby Monitor - AC310:

Wee Spring parent panel gave us the opportunity to try this incredible monitor! Our baby is 2 months old and this monitor has been so helpful! I love how easy it was to set up - it was basically ready out of the box! The design is modern and sleek! We love that you can walk mount or use on the stand provided. This makes it easy to move around the house depending on where the baby is napping! The monitor screen itself has a temperature feature my husband is obsessed with! It helps us to know where the temp is! We love the voice feature to speak to baby even though he s still too small! We look forward to using this feature more! I also love the movement feature/ sensor so the screen comes on when the baby moves! So far we are loving this monitor and look forward to enjoying even more as he grows!

Comments about Angelcare 4.3 inch LCD Video and Audio Baby Monitor - AC310:

I was given the opportunity to try this monitor through wee spring parent panel! It has been a lifesaver and given us so much peace of mind! The camera is easy to mount on the wall or to use on the stand. The picture is very clear. The monitor is easy to use and has so many features. We love the temperature feature so we can know the temp in the babies room. Love the voice feature to talk to baby even though our baby is still too small to really use. Love that is senses the movement and is nice and sleek to carry around! We look forward to use all the features as our baby grows but as of now we are pretty impressed with the design and technology put into this monitor. It's one of the best looking monitors out there and so easy to use! I highly recommend this monitor to all parents looking for quality at a good price point for a monitor!

Great monitor with a few cons

By Tara

Comments about Angelcare 4.3 inch LCD Video and Audio Baby Monitor - AC310:

We've used a couple of different monitors with our toddler and infant, and this one is definitely in the top.
Pros:
-easy to use and set up
-wonderful wide display
-easy to mount camera (love the magnetic mount and the wall mount option)
-microphone so you can talk to your child
-temperature sensor
-turns on/alerts when there is sound or movement

Cons:
-the temperature display on the camera is a bright blue light! My infant son actually couldn't sleep with this as the camera faces the crib out of necessity
-the picture quality is good not great.

Great Monitor!!!

By Allinds33

Comments about Angelcare 4.3 inch LCD Video and Audio Baby Monitor - AC310:

When we had baby number 2 we needed to get a second monitor and this has worked out perfectly for us. The screen is nice and big with great picture quality in light and dark rooms. The monitor is also very sleek, reminds me of my iPhone! My husband always thinks the baby is too cold so I find the temperature reading feature to be a must have - saves us a lot of money on oil when I show my husband that it's already a perfect sleeping temp of 68 degrees! We use the tabletop camera stand and it's very stable and easy to get the camera pointed at the right angle (we travel a lot and take the monitor with us, otherwise we would probably just mount it on the all - doesn't seem all that difficult). I can't think of anything that is wrong with this monitor, so happy to have it!
Thanks to Wee Spring for sending me this monitor to try out!

Awesome video monitor

By Motherofdragons

from Boise, ID

Comments about Angelcare 4.3 inch LCD Video and Audio Baby Monitor - AC310:

Overall this monitor rocks. My favorite feature is the Vox, whoich allows you to only hear noise when it is happening and adjust the sensitivity to noise. This is great for me because my daughter sleeps with a noise machine that I don't want to hear transmitted constantly in to my room while I'm sleeping. My older daughter's monitor does not have this feature and I was prettt annoyed when I got it, but got over it bc I thought is was just a video monitor thing. (I used an Angelcare movement sensor pad and sound only withbjer before I switched to video that also had the Vox feature). The video transmitted is great quality - although new moms - you aren't going to be able to see your kid breathing so if you are at all worried about this hen add the movement sensor pad for that peace of mind. I also love that the parent unit shows the time. (Other video monitor also doesn't have this! Seems like a no-brained). When she wakes up, I don't have to pick up another device to see what time it is. So nice when dealing with a baby with sleep issues and when sleep training. A few minor downsides to this monitor is that the camera doesn't swivel around and pan, it's stationary and has one level of zoom in and out. Not really a downside for an infant who just stays in the crib. If you plan to use this for a toddler who can get up and about and you want to continue to see what they are up to then a camera that has a wide angle lense and/or can swivel around for full viewing may better suit your needs. Second minor downside is the bright temperature reading in room. It's bright y'all. Like full-on night light. But, I put a pink sticky note over it and problem solved. I do love being able to see the temp when I'm in the room with my daughter. I love this for my 6 month old and love love the Vox feature. Thanks to the WeeSpring Parent Panel for letting me try this monitor for my unbiased review.

Easy to use, clear video

Comments about Angelcare 4.3 inch LCD Video and Audio Baby Monitor - AC310:

We've been using this monitor in our newborn twins room for a little while now, the video is clear, it has good range and decent battery life too. Love the room thermometer. I do wish it had a pan feature, tough to see both twins cribs, but you can buy a second camera, so we will go thst route. It's easy to set up and use. Before the twins arrived I tried it in my preschoolers room, she likes to get out of bed, she was shocked when she was about to get up and she heard my voice over the monitor. Overall I really like this monitor. Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me this monitor!

Good but not great

By limon1986

Comments about Angelcare 4.3 inch LCD Video and Audio Baby Monitor - AC310:

I got a chance to try this monitor as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. I already have a Motorola 36BPS monitor. I was excited to try this monitor because the Motorola has some connectivity issues with the charger, so I have been on the lookout for a new monitor.

Pros: the screen on the monitor is huge and it's cool that the camera comes with the brackets to mount it on the wall or put it on a tabletop. The camera has a wide range of motion also, so you can see a lot of the room. The ability to separately purchase the pad to monitor baby's breathing is also really cool, especially as a first time mom, because I remember checking on my first's breathing for several months (although I did not actually buy the monitor pad for purposes of this review). The monitor looks sleek too.

Cons: The quality of the picture is fair, but it does not come close to the Motorola monitor that I already have. The colors are not as vivid in the daylight and the image is just not as crisp. I could have lived with the quality of the video, though, had it not been for two other reasons. The biggest issue I had with the parent unit is that it is not intuitive AT ALL. It took me a good 30 minutes of frustration to set it all up because nothing is labeled and each setting took several steps. It would have been so much easier if there had been a way to do all the settings on the computer and connect the parent unit to the computer through a USB, for example. The parent unit is also not backlit, so you can't see the touch buttons (i.e. they are not raised up, but more touchscreen design) in the dark, which means that if you get up in the middle of the night and want to do a quick check, you will probably have to turn the lights on at least until you memorize where the buttons are located. I would take the Motorola I already have over this monitor.
