Something that you need to know when getting this item is that you have to have the Designer 22 models of the infant car seats. You can't just use any kind. The other problem is that the Designer 22 models that I have been able to find, do not match the stroller (ours are brown and blue and the stroller is black and gray) so if you are wanting the car seats and stroller to match, you may want to choose a different stroller. Otherwise, the stroller was pretty easy to put together and seems to work pretty well.

This stroller is pretty simple to assemble. It looks great and has a ton of room. The cupholders and snack trays are great and the bottom bin holds quite a bit. But I did return it and here's why.

Unfortunatly, because this stroller does have a ton of room, it is like operating the strech limousine of strollers. If it were easier to manuever it might not be that bad, but it doesn't glide well and with the weight of the stroller plus kids, it's quite a workout.

The stroller is also on the tall side. I am 5' 6" and the handles came up to me mid-chest. I think this also created more of a workout since I had to use my arms without much body weight to push.

I liked the back seat and it's full recline and that the front seat was so versatile between forward facing and inward facing but a downside was that the front seat wasn't very high up the back. My 18 month old son could not rest his head back.

This stroller is not a bad stroller. It's just not for me. I need one that both my kids can rest comfortably and is on the easier side to manuever...this doesn't accomplish that.

Comments about Safety 1st Two Ways Tandem Stroller - Orion Black:

I bought this stroller in 2008 for my first girls as they age difference is only 13 months apart. We did use it until there where 3 and 4 years old. Then we got twins. They are now 2 1/2 years old and the stroller is still in great shape. It has some hols in the netting for storage (what you can expect after so many years) but the construction is still in perfect shape. The seats for the kids are spacious and even in the winter they have room to move. I can push it with one hand, and the fact that is long - I know it and will "drive" it that way. It has ton of storage space under the seats and great space for kids legs. The option turn the front seat give me the possibility to let the kids play together, or have snack together.
The stroller is heavy but I don't see it as a negative. I want have something what will last for a while and my kids will be safe in so I understand the material must be sturdy to do that. I don't carry it - only to put it in the car or out of the car, and it takes it only few second to do that. Folding and unfolding is supper easy. And the folded stroller is not bigger that other single stroller, you just have the extra front seat to store but this is foldable as well. The car seats are easy to click in or take out.
The downturn is the front seat doesn't recline o all the way down and the head rest is a bit short.
Once we witness a mum with car seat in the front and older child in the back. She took out the older kid as first and the stroller tipped over with the car seat still on it. This stroller will not do this.
I will recommend this stroller and if I should buy a new stroller I will choose it again.

Comments about Safety 1st Two Ways Tandem Stroller - Orion Black:

Although the box for this product shows it with Orion patterned infant seats there are none available that fit this stroller. Safety 1st does manufacture one car seat which is available in the Orion pattern... but it doesn't work with this stroller. Very dissatisfied.

Received this stroller as a baby shower present after having my second child. This stroller is so bulky and is hard to push and maneuver!! The only good thing about it is that the kids can face each other, everything else is horrible. I would rather have 2 single strollers than this semi of a stroller.

I bought this stroller for my infant twins and it was only used twice, so far! It is big and bulky, hard to maneuver, and the shades are too small for the seats. They do not shade my girls at all. The car seats that I purchased did not fit the stroller either. I am 5'7" and the stroller is pretty high and extremely hard to maneuver. Also, it is difficult to get to the basket when you have a child in the back seat. The basket is pretty small for the size of the stroller. You are better off spending the extra money to purchase a better one.

I got this offline thinking it would be great for a 18 m/o and a nwborn, but the front seat is entirely narrow and small. Not recommend if you have a larger child, possibly good for 2 infants, but not sure.

[...]. It arrived the day we came home from the hospital since our son was early. Put it together to find it didn't work with our safety 1st infant seat, like the company had assured us over the phone. Took it back to the babies r us we had ordered it from and were informed that the stroller was out of date and didn't work with any of the infant seats now sold. So why is this stroller still available???
