      This is a throwback to the Mego cloth-costumed, highly articulated action figures of my youth. While some noticable improvements have been made (and appreciated), the new elastic that holds the body together (as opposed to the thick rubber bands of yore) does not seem to give it the same firmness. Still, it's a delight to share a meaningful piece of my childhood with my own son

            Comments about Mattel 1001134 DC Universe Retro-Action Wave 2 Case:

            sadly, they would not stand up. I stood them up on a very flat surface and posed their arms for proper balance, and they plummeted to their deaths on the hard floor below. All of them. Superman's head is smashed and flat looking. This is not because of the fall though. It was that way before he fell. They look very nice otherwise though--- lying there on the floor. With the exception of Superman, these are the nicest in the bunch.
