My son loves building things with his Dad. this is great for them to do together. The only downfall is the instructions don't give measurements to cut the pieces. My 5 yr old got this as a Christmas present and asks everyday to build something. Already recommended to a friend.

My 8 1/2 yr old son received this for Christmas, and really enjoyed creating his first project, a jet airplane. Easy to use tools, yet finished product was sturdy. I would recommend for any child that likes to design things on their own. My husband helped, but work was mainly done by my son, who would like a set of his own real tools, so this was a nice compromise until he is a bit older. We also purchased the refill wood pack for future use.
