We have an older Fisher Price ship that is for the little People collection (not age appropriate for my kids, 3, 7, and 11) but they were always playing with it so I figured it was time to get them something that was built for bigger kids. I did my searching online through sevral sites. I found one ship that looked really cool but it was about $100. I was hesitant to spend that much on one toy. When I found the True Heroes pirate ship, I was so relieved that the price was less than half of what the other ship was, and it looked just as cool. I AM NOT DISSAPOINTED AT ALL! It is awesome! So glad I chose this one instead, definately worth the money. I would even pay more for it if I had to. My boys love it........as a matter of fact, I might just get another so they dont have to argue over whose turn it is to play with the ship! My one suggestion is to get the extra pirates that are sold seperately in another package. I think it comes with 5. You can never have too many pirates!

My four year old likes Pirate toys. This is very cheaply made, both masts were bent when received. Was asked if there's a store nearby to return, no it's almost 2 hours away. Decided to go, because the costume we ordered was the wrong size (whole order was screwed up). Person at store wanted to give a store credit, had to talk to management. Stores don't take credit for there mess ups and being the store is that far, I had to ask for my credit card be refunded. Toy is not worth full price.

This was a birthday present for my great grandson.He just turned 3 and the box was the biggest of all the gifts he received. Of course, it was the first one he opened and his eyes lite up like a Christmas tree. At that point, he didn't want to open any of his other gifts. He loved it and thats all that counts.

My 4 year old son received this pirate ship for Christmas. It is HUGE and has a lot of small pieces. I have a pencil container he puts the smaller pieces in so they don't get lost. It does take a while to get it out of the box but is well worth it. My son absolutely loves it. It has canons that really work and he loves the treasure chest and winch. Definitely a great item.

My older son received this on his birthday and my younger son had to have it. We went and purchased another one the next day. As soon as it was put together it started to fall apart. The sails do not stay attached and all the pieces do not stay on. They are sitting in the garage because everything came off on it and they are only a week old. Complete waste of money.

I very rarely write reviews but this ship deserved the time! My son(who is 3) got this for Christmas. 8 months later, he is still playing with it daily and it is holding up great! My little boy is REALLY rough on toys but not a single piece of this has broken. He loves that he can take it apart and customize it they way he wants. They only thing that I wish is that it would float in water. Otherwise it has been, without a doubt the best toy he has had!

My grandson was thrilled with the pirate ship as he had seen a show here in Vegas about pirates while he was visiting me. He had called to thank me however asked why i sent him two(2) of all the pirates? I had sent the 5 pack of pirates along with ship sold separately and did not realize the 5 pack of pirates were the pirates that came with the ship. but my grandson said that was okay with him. He is 5 years.

My son was excited to get it but he doesn't play it with it much. There are a lot of small pieces to keep track of and not vacuum up. They blend in with beige carpet. he will probably play with it off and on but it's not one of his favorites.
