[...]we had two Jeep jogging-style strollers and were skeptical to go away from that brand because it was great, but we wanted a true travel system this time around. Trade-offs are certainly that this is a true travel system so it's very secure to have the infant seat on the stroller, whereas Jeep simply accomodates an infant car seat but doesn't 'lock' a seat in the same way. The stroller was easy to put together. The base and seat seem snug and secure, and the latches for the base are the best we've experienced and we've had several car seats between the two kids we already have. Another great feature is that the adjustable handle bar accomodates a person of my size (5'3") as well as my husband (6'3")- it's the first stroller he's had that he feels took in to consideration a taller person, and it's very comfortable for both of us, especially for him without having to crouch or hunch his back. Wheels are easy to maneuver even though they are bigger than the Jeep (although Jeep's wheels also tackled any terrain with ease; don't think the size difference will matter much), and we like the safety features on the stroller itself such as the ample reflective material & safety strap to use while running, and extra locks for the infant seat. The mesh bottom basket is large enough to accomodate a lot of stuff, not just a diaper bag. The one-hand fold is truly one-hand... Jeep claims theirs is but then requires you still to bend down to manually latch the stroller secure, whereas this one does it for you & you can hear it snap securely.Comes up short with regard to: The canopy- it's open in the back, which isn't too horrible, but on a windy day I'd prefer a completely encased stroller to one that I will have to put a blanket or two over to keep wind or weather or sun out of... and same with the peek-a-boo window on the stroller- most are plastic to see the baby, this one is just mesh although it does have a flap that velcros. Also, the parent "tray" is not so much a tray as a very small cubby that won't fit much more than a small wallet, small set of keys, and maybe the iPod used for the speakers- Jeep's parent compartment was definitely bigger in this regard.Overall we're very excited about this purchase & cannot wait to use it when our baby is born. It's a bonus, too, that it's not all pastel colors like a lot of travel systems tend to be when looking for something to represent that you have a little girl.

I really wish I had known better before I picked this for my registry. First, what I like: (1) TONS of storage in the storage basket, (2) the compartment between the speakers is handy for keys & a cell phone on walks and (3)the canopy provides a lot of shade.

Unfortunately, there's so much more that I can't stand: (1) it's so bulky I don't even take it anywhere EXCEPT on walks from my front door. Even when folded up, it just barely fits in the trunk of my Camry, and when I've got the stroller in there, I can't fit anything else. (2) The carseat is VERY heavy. I figured all carseats were this heavy, but then I've tried a few others out to discover that others are lighter. The stroller is also heavy, and when you think about it being both bulky AND heavy, it makes me even less willing to bring it places. (And I'm no weakling.) I ended up buying a separate stroller just to be able to take on errands around town. (3) The peek-a-boo window through the canopy - I wish there were velcro on the canopy to hold it open so I'm not constantly opening & closing the flap to check on the baby. (4) It has terrible handling. I find it very difficult to get up & down off of curbs, even when the front wheel is locked. And, like other reviewers, my front wheel started wobbling after about a week of use. (5) The cupholders aren't deep enough. Every cup has bounced out of the holder, spilling water everywhere. And my aluminum water bottles don't fit. (6) The tires. I have never ONCE taken the stroller in anything even resembling 'off road' - just sidewalks, parking lots & the mall - but I get flats all the time, and I've had to go get bike tubes to replace them twice so far (and my baby isn't even 8 months old). And (7)This may be just because I'm 5'2" but the height of the carseat handle makes the carseat incredibly awkward for me to carry - it either bangs into my thighs if my arms are straight or I have to carry it with my arm bent and it's so heavy it bruises my wrist & arm.
I totally agree with the reviewer who said that she hates the stroller more and more every day. I cannot wait to trade this one. I really wish I had known better what to look for in registering for a travel system carseat & stroller...Keep looking!

We bought this travel set because we are always on the go. WORST decision EVER!!! It wobbles and shakes when you walk. The faster you go the more it shakes. It is on the heavier side and isn't the easiest to get in and out of the car. Bottom line, find another stroller system. The car seat base is also a bit of a job to get in the car, we have to constantly tighten the anchor straps and it still isn't as stable as I would like it.

Comments about Baby Trend Expedition ELX Travel System Stroller - Windsor:

I'll first list the pros of this product because there are fewer than cons. The car seat is great, we still use it for my 10 month old and it's been safe and reliable but I had to remove the canopy because my son was able to easily remove it from the flimsy plastic slides and when he wasn't trying to pull it off, it would somehow come off anyway. it was touchy. I will say this setup is pretty stylish but that's about it.

The stroller, however, is awful. I'm a stay at home mom so it's mostly just me packing and unpacking this thing. It's heavy and bulky and awkward. you have to carry it everywhere because it wasn't made to roll while condensed and it doesn't fold nicely or easily. But my biggest complaint by far is that it's not stable at all. whether I have my son in the car seat connected to the stroller or just strapped into the stroller alone, it gets the speed wobbles terribly. You can't go any faster than a walk otherwise the front wheel causes the whole thing to vigorously shake like it's lost control. So forget using this to jog with (which is why I wanted this in the first place) If you lock the front wheel, it won't shake but then you can't turn. It's extremely frustrating. So needless to say, the second my son was big enough to safely ride in a cheap umbrella stroller, I bought one to save me the hassle of using this.

The wheels wobble a lot, shaking my baby up. I tried to pull stroller seat up so that I can have my child sit up but it does not stay in one place. My child is forced to lay back the entire ride. Being that it is a really big stroller it is very difficult to travel with. I cannot use public transportation with this stroller. I regret not doing enough research on this stroller I would have never bought it. However, I do like the storage basket.

Comments about Baby Trend Expedition ELX Travel System Stroller - Windsor:

We are so disappointed with this stroller and I feel like every time I go to use it, especially when trying to strap my baby into the car seat I say how much I hate it and I need to write a review. We received this stroller for the arrival of our baby Oct 2017 and from the day we opened the box in November it was nothing but trouble. First the wheel could not be pumped with air because the nozzle on each tire to pump the air into was damaged and could not be used. We then had to bring the stroller to babies r us to see if they can fix it and they gave us new tires. SO by the time I actually got to use the stroller it was about a month later. Why are the wheels not pumped and ready to use when the customer receives the item? The wheel on the front is so wobbly that we always have to have it in the jogging position so that we can even walk our baby, but even that is not sturdy. The stroller is so top heavy that when walking it feels like a swift wind will blow the thing right over. The straps are so inconvenient when it comes to buckling for the car seat that I have literally spent 10 min trying to snap my child in. Not only that but the plastic pieces that come together to buckle the child in are constantly twisting and I have spent probably 20 minutes or more trying to reposition the straps so that it could be buckled at all.

I wish I had read reviews for this before putting it on my registry and having someone spend entirely too much money on something so unreliable and disappointing. I want to believe I just received a defective stroller and maybe I did, but since there is no way for me to know and it has caused me so much frustration this is my resort.
