[...]we had two Jeep jogging-style strollers and were skeptical to go away from that brand because it was great, but we wanted a true travel system this time around. Trade-offs are certainly that this is a true travel system so it's very secure to have the infant seat on the stroller, whereas Jeep simply accomodates an infant car seat but doesn't 'lock' a seat in the same way. The stroller was easy to put together. The base and seat seem snug and secure, and the latches for the base are the best we've experienced and we've had several car seats between the two kids we already have. Another great feature is that the adjustable handle bar accomodates a person of my size (5'3") as well as my husband (6'3")- it's the first stroller he's had that he feels took in to consideration a taller person, and it's very comfortable for both of us, especially for him without having to crouch or hunch his back. Wheels are easy to maneuver even though they are bigger than the Jeep (although Jeep's wheels also tackled any terrain with ease; don't think the size difference will matter much), and we like the safety features on the stroller itself such as the ample reflective material & safety strap to use while running, and extra locks for the infant seat. The mesh bottom basket is large enough to accomodate a lot of stuff, not just a diaper bag. The one-hand fold is truly one-hand... Jeep claims theirs is but then requires you still to bend down to manually latch the stroller secure, whereas this one does it for you & you can hear it snap securely.Comes up short with regard to: The canopy- it's open in the back, which isn't too horrible, but on a windy day I'd prefer a completely encased stroller to one that I will have to put a blanket or two over to keep wind or weather or sun out of... and same with the peek-a-boo window on the stroller- most are plastic to see the baby, this one is just mesh although it does have a flap that velcros. Also, the parent "tray" is not so much a tray as a very small cubby that won't fit much more than a small wallet, small set of keys, and maybe the iPod used for the speakers- Jeep's parent compartment was definitely bigger in this regard.Overall we're very excited about this purchase & cannot wait to use it when our baby is born. It's a bonus, too, that it's not all pastel colors like a lot of travel systems tend to be when looking for something to represent that you have a little girl.

I really wish I had known better before I picked this for my registry. First, what I like: (1) TONS of storage in the storage basket, (2) the compartment between the speakers is handy for keys & a cell phone on walks and (3)the canopy provides a lot of shade.

Unfortunately, there's so much more that I can't stand: (1) it's so bulky I don't even take it anywhere EXCEPT on walks from my front door. Even when folded up, it just barely fits in the trunk of my Camry, and when I've got the stroller in there, I can't fit anything else. (2) The carseat is VERY heavy. I figured all carseats were this heavy, but then I've tried a few others out to discover that others are lighter. The stroller is also heavy, and when you think about it being both bulky AND heavy, it makes me even less willing to bring it places. (And I'm no weakling.) I ended up buying a separate stroller just to be able to take on errands around town. (3) The peek-a-boo window through the canopy - I wish there were velcro on the canopy to hold it open so I'm not constantly opening & closing the flap to check on the baby. (4) It has terrible handling. I find it very difficult to get up & down off of curbs, even when the front wheel is locked. And, like other reviewers, my front wheel started wobbling after about a week of use. (5) The cupholders aren't deep enough. Every cup has bounced out of the holder, spilling water everywhere. And my aluminum water bottles don't fit. (6) The tires. I have never ONCE taken the stroller in anything even resembling 'off road' - just sidewalks, parking lots & the mall - but I get flats all the time, and I've had to go get bike tubes to replace them twice so far (and my baby isn't even 8 months old). And (7)This may be just because I'm 5'2" but the height of the carseat handle makes the carseat incredibly awkward for me to carry - it either bangs into my thighs if my arms are straight or I have to carry it with my arm bent and it's so heavy it bruises my wrist & arm.
I totally agree with the reviewer who said that she hates the stroller more and more every day. I cannot wait to trade this one. I really wish I had known better what to look for in registering for a travel system carseat & stroller...Keep looking!

Comments about Baby Trend Expedition ELX Travel System Stroller - Windsor:

We bought this system from a retail location thinking it was the perfect set up for our newborn. The assembly wasn't too difficult, but there were a few steps that were trial and error. The first time we tried to use it, the front wheel kept wobbling, so that it made it very difficult to steer. Our baby was wobbling in the carseat with the wheel making it seem very uncomfortable for her. We attempted to adjust the tightness of the bolts, but we could not fix this issue. We finally had to lock the wheel in place and couldn't use the swivel steering feature at all. Then, we noticed that the front wheel was low on air. After searching all over town, we finally decided to pay to pump it up at a had station. Turns out, the gas pump air hose CANNOT fit inside the spoke of the wheel, making it useless to try to pump it. Needless to say, it's still flat. In addition to these issues. We find it bulky and heavy, taking up the entire trunk of our SUV. We wanted to like it, but this is not the one for our family.

Comments about Baby Trend Expedition ELX Travel System Stroller - Windsor:

I like the stroller for walks only. It is extremely heavy duty and would most likely only fit in a truck. I get a lot of compliments on it. My only complaint is that the front wheel wiggles way too much. I have to call the company to investigate it.

Got this as a gift for Christmas and then 6 months later when my first child was born loved it, but after 2 months my little guy liked to kick and ended up pulling apart the seams at his feet. I contacted Baby trend and at first they said my 180 day warranty was over and I could order a replacement cover for $22, but after explaining that it wasn't used until much later than the purchase date and he was only 2 months old they sent me the replacement fabric for free.

The front wheel is poorly designed, and as such wobbles horribly, even when walking at a snails pace. We returned the first one and the second one wobbled worst than the first. Do not buy this product. I will never buy another 'Baby Trend' product again.

I got this stroller & car seat for my baby shower, my daughter is 2 & I still use it. It's amazing I have never had any problems with it. It is perfect for parks, fairs, and places like disneyland because it just glides over bumps & cracks the wheels never get stuck like other strollers. It has a bunch of storage space in the basket below which is perfect when we go to the mall so I don't have to carry everything. It also has 4 cup holders which has came in handy for my daughters cups, & mine. The car seat was also great very easy in & out of the car and clicks onto stroller super fast when she was an infant. I basicallt love this item!
however just make sure you have a large trunk since this is a very large stroller.

I REALLY liked this stroller and was pleased with the price until month 5... The reason I chose this stroller was because it's easy to push and navigate in and out of areas and also grew with my child. I wanted to find a product that was versitle. Once my son got bigger I attempted to jog with him. I stopped because the front wheel would shake horribly! I then just used it for walking and unfortinately had the same thing happen! I can't walk 3mph without it beginning to shake! I would recommend looking into another brand since all of thier joggers are made the same way.

Comments about Baby Trend Expedition ELX Travel System Stroller - Windsor:

I bought this online without going to the store and looking at the options; mistake! It looks great online and the car seat was fine; worked well with the click and go stroller when our child was an infant. However, as our baby grew (and the weather improved) I wanted to use the jogging stroller more. I quickly found that the tires go flat frequently - I have not discovered a way to get them to stop doing that yet. Every time I want to take a walk or jog I have to put air in the tires. Also, the sun shield on the top of the stroller is useless. It barely covers our child when the sun is at our back and does not provide any shade when facing the sun. I assumed that the sun shield would shift forward, allowing parents to move it to shade their child; not so. There are screws holding it in place. If you remove the screws, it just collapses. I have not been able to find an attachment to resolve this problem. And finally the MP3 is a piece of junk; never worked, not from day 1. I read this on other reviews so I was not surprised. With these three major flaws, it was the biggest waste of registry money/gift cards that we purchased.

Comments about Baby Trend Expedition ELX Travel System Stroller - Windsor:

I really like this stroller. I am a full time mom and a full time working professional. When I get home I like to take my daughter for a walk/jog so I can keep in shape; especially after a long day sitting behind a desk.

Pros: Easy to maneuver while walking/jogging, comfortable for child, great storage space (I can hold a full diaper bag, a small lunch bag, and any extras, and 4 cup holders. The speaker area is great to hold a phone, keys, or a taser.

Cons: You need to release the back support into the laying down position before folding up the stroller otherwise the sides come apart from the frame and creates a weird crease. The speakers are terrible. My phone is louder. If you plan on walking more than 2 miles per hour, you MUST lock the front wheel otherwise the frame shakes like crazy! When the wheels are locked, you must tilt the stroller back to turn. Material is hot and makes the baby sweat a lot.

Overall: I enjoy the stroller. Once you figure out how to make it work for you, it's great. The pros outweigh the cons.
