We got this car seat for my 4.5 month old who outgrew his infant car seat by height (big baby!). We cannot afford 2 separate car seats for our cars so we wanted to get one that we could easily shift between the cars.

Things I love:
1) *Very* easy to install! Honestly, the hardest part of its install is getting the towel rolled correctly underneath the base (see below for tip)
2) It's very nice to be able to loosen and tighten the harness with ease each time i place my baby in the seat. My kid's outfits can be thick or thin and sometimes he struggles to get into the straps, so being able to one-hand loosen the straps a whole bunch and then tighten quickly is very nice. When my baby is asleep being able to smoothly ease him out of the seat by loosening the straps a bunch is very convenient
3) Truly, you do not have to worry about growth spurts again. The tabs to move the harness up and down are quite easy to use.
4) Getting a tight install is VERY easy. You *do* need to use the same amount of force to get it down as much as possible (like putting your knee in the middle) but considering you don't have to pull a strap at the same time this is nothing.
5) The seat is very soft and comfy.

Some cons:
1) It is a bit heavy but not too bad
2) There isn't a low profile to the seat which means you have to hoist your baby up and over each time but this isn't really that bad and once my kid can climb in on his own it won't even be an issue any more.
3) It's difficult to adjust the pitch once the car seat is installed. You *really* have to jam your hand down into the seat to get at the lever, but you *have* to have the seat in the upright position to get a correct install so you can't just have it pitched to where you want it and then install. As bad as that is, it only adds about 10 seconds to your install time.

Install Tip:
I own a 2004 Jeep Liberty and my husband drives a 2001 Toyota Corolla. Both vehicles need a tightly rolled up towel to get the car seat leveled correctly for rear-facing. To do this you take an average sized adult towel, fold it in half long wise and then tightly roll it down. When you place the base on it the car seat will be pitched so that it looks like it will fall off the seat. Hook the latches and then tighten. The base will compress the towel roll down until the seat is parallel with the ground. You'll know you did this correctly because all parts of the base will still be on the seat (not hanging off) and when you pull on the seat it does not rock up and down (in addition to the no moving an inch in any direction). If I were to change one thing about this seat it would be that they included a foot or a hardware wedge to adjust the pitch.

I do like this car seat. . . However, I was under the impression from other reviews that it would be very simple to install and transfer between cars. While it is simple in theory (all you have to do is clip it in and push until it is tight), there is no way I can get it tight enough on my own to where it doesn't move. My husband has to get in my car, climb on top of the seat, and push it down with all of his weight. Also, because of the way my seats are we have to put a towel underneath it for rear facing to get the right recline angle which made it a bit more difficult. It took us a few tries with different size towels to get it right. Needless to say we are likely going to have to purchase another seat to put in my husbands car since I don't think we will be able to regularly move this one back and forth. I do however like the seat itself. Seems well made and comfortable. It is very easy to adjust the headrest height and harness straps. Overall, I would recommend this car seat, just don't expect to be transferring it between cars without quite a bit of effort.

My 19 month old daughter fits well in this seat and seems to enjoy riding in it. It is very sturdy and I feel her safety is excellent in this seat. I have no problem with the safety, comfort, etc of this seat. My main problem is being able to clean it. My daughter is a notorious spiller (what 19 month old isn't). I have often taken the cover off to clean it with no problem. Today however I realized liquid has been spilling down underneath the cover and been pooling in the seat base. This has caused a terrible smell to accumulate in my car. It has been a real pain to try and reach all the places that there is milk pooled up in. Other than the cleaning issue, this seat is great.

LO is 6 months. She's very big for her age. Went to the store and looked at every one. And this one seemed to be the best fit. It grow with her for the rest of her car seat days. So hopefully we won't have to buy another. The side impact is really important. And she looks very safe.

Product is super easy to move from one vehicle to another while rear facing.
Most importantly this car seat saved my sons life. We were hit in the front & side driver doors of our caravan, right where my 15 month old was setting. He sustained NO injuries while we almost lost my mother & father due to trauma from the same hit. I went and purchased the exact same carseat the next day. I wont allow my son in any other now!

We've used this seat for almost two years. It seems extremely safe, we haven't been in an accident to test that though. Its withstood many washings. And lo seems comfortable. Its easy to adjust, so much so that I'm not sure where our directions are lol. Very glad that we choose this seat!

We bought this for our son when he outgrew the infant carrier. I never really used it rear facing because eventhough it's recommended rearfacing for 2 years, he hated it, and as soon as he weighed enough we turned him around. This seat easily transfers between cars, and yeah it's big, but they all are. The head rest is big, but has never hingered his sight, and I like it big. it means a larger square area is covered for safety. The only thing I don't like is the cup holder. It's very flimsey, and would have loved a built in one, but that wouldn't stop me from buying it again.

Bought for my 9mth old son. Pros: Sturdy seat. Head piece is really safe. Very easy to install and remove!!! Cant stress enough how easy! Cons/annoyances: Wouldn't recommend for young babies as the seat sets pretty up and down without much recline. Wish it had the option to recline back just a little when in rear facing mode. Guide to know if seat is in right position/level has no actual system, just a arrow to look at and "judge" if its parallel to your seat. Overall happy with the seat.

We just bought this car seat for our 8 month old. It took us a total of 2 minutes to install. It has these retractable latch hooks that retracts back instantly. You can here it click and lock. Really rare and so nice! It also is cushioned on the bottom and the sides so its soft and comfortable which our baby will be able to go for long trips to the cabin. So happy already with it! The head rest also adjusts high so we will be able to use it for a long time. Great purchase!

When the carseat I bought arrived at our home - the box was really beat up with a hole in side. Don't know if UPS did it or it happened in the warehouse. Did take some pictures in case when gift is given to my niece she can return the carseat if there is any damage to it.

i love this car seat. i spent weeks comparing car seats online. this was in my top three and when i actually took my son to the store to test them out, this car seat was the best by far. it's so comfortable and easy to install! the safety rating just tops it off.

i had a hard time choosing between this and the next fit by chicco. but, when i asked an associate to take one down they had hidden away on a top shelf (still on preorder), and opened it, the evenflo was still better quality. not to mention the evenflo will last longer (up to 100lbs) and cost you less!
