my 3 year old son got this for Christmas and it is his favorite! It is easy to work and the sounds make it better than a nerf gun. I definitely recommend this product. The darts are soft and even when shot in close range they do not sting/hurt.

My 4 year old just got it and him and is older brother (13) have been fighting over whose turn it is!! It is a great toy, only wish we could buy more "bullets" because in one day, we have lost 3....it shoots very far :)

Great Bang for the Buck!

Note: Age recommendation for this product is 5+. Mom was consulted and OK'd this Blaster as it was a Birthday present for a 3yr old who loves Optimus Prime.The lights and Optimus Prime sounds are fun (mom said the sound was fine,would drive me crazy but I have no children). The darts are soft approx 4in long,tips are a soft plastic material that do not sting when hit,darts travel aprrox. 20-30 feet For this occasion the darts were kept back and the blaster itself was a huge hit for the birthday boy as well as several adults. It was not long before the birthday boy realized there was darts and figured out how to load the barrel and operate the release mechanism. After the party 4 adults & 1 child bought nerf guns of different styles Of all 5 styles this product is still considered the best one. I would suggest if given as birthday/Holiday gift that it be the last opened. Grandma and Grandpas presents may be over shawdowed ie.clothes-educational toys, hot wheels etc... I highly recommend this product!
