Thickely cushioned seat and back are covered with soft and comfortable microfiber fabric. Nice padded arms provide additional support. Bought this glider for Grandma's house and I'm glad it's not in my nursery. The seat is short and narrow, and it was not easy to assemble. Once the base is together, the rest goes quickly, but lining up all the parts in the base is a nightmare. The large shipping box would easily accommodate an already-assembled base. I also started to notice a squeak right away. We'll hit it with some WD-40, but I think we would have been similarly satisfied with a glider that was half the price.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I tried this chair (in another fabric and wood color) at BRU and found it to be very comfortable. I was so happy to find a glider that had dark brown fabric and dark wood that matched my espresso furniture for the baby. I have had this glider for over a month now and love it! I am almost 8 months pregnant and this glider is the only comfortable place for me to sit. It glides smoothly and quietly. My husband spent about 20 minutes putting the chair together and said it wasn't that difficult to assemble (he is a mechanic). I love the recline feature and the fact that I can lock the chair before I get out of it. I can fit into the glider with my Boppy pillow, so it will be comfortable for me to feed my baby. I have found the chair to be very sturdy and solid. The only minor issue that I found was that it had a chemical smell to it at first, but over time it has faded away. I can't wait to use the glider when my baby is born! I am very pleased with my purchase.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
