I got this for my daughter's 2nd birthday and previously had one for my 7 year old. the plastic food can get dented if it gets stepped on buy I've been able to reshape it and my 2 year old really doesn't mind. as for the cans and cardboard boxes, they are the same as with any food set, I covered the boxes and cans with clear packaging tape and it help them hold up better. They still squish but won't tear or break so it's not bad. My kids love it!

There are several pieces of this "120 piece set" that are flimsy cardboard and were quickly destroyed by normal play. If you take out these pieces, and the canned goods/bottles that are covered with an easy-to-tear-off paper label, you are left with about 90 pieces. They food does not look realistic, dents easily (thin plastic fruit, etc.), and is not worth the [$] retail. Some of the food is not even recognizable. There are a few favorite pieces that get more play than the others - pizza, cookies, pie, and bananas.

I like the product for the flimsiness. I would not have got these if they were hard. My daughter. Chewsv on these when she is teething it doesnt hurt her. You can reshape them if you step on them. She has had this product for a year and nothing has broke on them. It is also harmless to young ones if the food was hard because they could crack and cut there fingers or swallow what broke. I love the fact these are thin plastic. The paper boxes are not good and I believe they should replace them with other objects

This gift was purchased to be used with a Lifestyle Legacy kitchen set that I purchased for my granddaughter for Christmas. She hasn't received the gifts yet, as it's not yet Christmas, but I thought the food represented in this set was very colorful and realistic, and I believe she's going to really enjoy playing with it, as she loves to play pretend. She's 23 months old and likes to feed me her play food. At least now I'll get some variety, since the set has a lot of stuff in it!! I thought the price was reasonable also, given the volume of items contained in the set.

I bought this for my 1 year old's first birthday. Some pieces are too small and pose a choking hazard; but I take those peices and save for when he's older. My 3 year old likes to play store with his little 1 year old brother and they have a ball for at least a half hour at a time. Great for all ages, with supervision for little ones under three.
