      I bought this mobile to match the coordinating bedding and decor. It is really cute... until you turn it on.. the music is loud, piercing and creepy! My son does not like it and I don't blame him. Even my seven year old daughter covered her ears when I turned it on. We kept it anyway (for show) because it looks really nice with the bedding, but I am purchasing an entertaining mobile for his crib as well.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

              the music sounds like something you'd hear in a stephen king movie- a creepy version of a nursery classic. it was WAY off pitch. another reviewer said one note was bad. on ours, maybe one note was not bad... we returned it. maybe we just got a lemon. the store near us is currently out of stock. its very cute and easy to install, but i plan to take a listen to a different one in the store BEFORE i take it home to set up.

              Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

                  I love that there's a real music box inside, and the boats are cute (I need to cut the tags off each one), but the thing that disappoints me is that there's one VERY flat note on the song that plays. It drives my husband and I crazy. I plan to exchange it if the others in the store are on key.

                  This fits slightly crooked on our crib because the two end pieces on the crib are curved,not flat. It's not a huge deal, but the mobile base doesn't allow for much wiggle room.
