Do not buy this product. The drawers do not line up, there were missing pieces, and all of the wood smells like dead fish. This is the single worst purchase I have ever made. You will have to return it the minute you get it home. It is a waste of money.

Bought this dresser in March 2011 to match the Delta Springtime Crib. Beautiful style, sturdy construction, and we've used it for almost 2 years now. Maybe Delta changed something in the manufacturing of this piece since March 2011, based on all the bad reviews posted, but we had no issues other than a support bar that was cracked upon delivery. Called up Delta Childrens Products directly (not BabiesRUs!) and had the replacement part within 4 weeks. Top shows rubbing/worn area at the front from hundreds of diaper changes. Wouldn't really expect anything else from a product used so often in our home. Overall, love the look and the quality for the price we paid, and expect it to last well into our daughter's teen years, if not beyond.

Horrible, horrible, horrible!

This stuff will not last you AT ALL! The screws constantly fall out, you put them back in - they don't hold a thing, the material(definitely not wood!) is falling apart just as you are trying to do anything with it. We had this thing put together by Babies R Us' deliver and assemble guys-from the 1st time it was put together, it was crooked and uneven. And there is no way to fix it-the manufacturer's job is totally, totally not up to par. We only had this dresser for 8 months, and I can't tell you how frustrated I've been using it! STRONGLY recommend NOT to buy anything by DELTA. :((((((

The only reason you are thinking of buying this dresser is to match the nice white crib and dresser set you saw at Babys-R-Us. Yes, together they fabulous! But be aware of the less than average quality.

The crib: 5 star! its quite durable and made with solid material. One of the reasons the crib has perfect reviews is its made at a different plant than the dresser. Often when a company wants to save a buck the same manufacturer will outsource various pieces of their line. In this case – bad move.

The dresser: mostly bad.
1st complaint: shipping – they will ship this in a box and the likelihood that something is scratched is high. Our first shipment, the nice wood finished top was cracked in the corner.
Thought we could just ship that piece back – nope – had to put all the pieces back into the box and ship back to factory – huge pain in the rear.

2nd complaint: the wretched odor this thing will do to your poor baby's room for many weeks. No getting rid of it – just open the windows for about 2 weeks in the room.

3rd complaint: Bad Drawers: the drawers is largely where this dresser fails; the drawers are made of poor material and the DIY sequencing is poorly engineered making this not an easy install. For starters the drawers are made with particle board and come with a flimsy bottom. There is a structural stem that holds the bottom in place, but the fact that the flimsy flexible bottom has to line up with the drawers VERY shallow groove section makes for terrible structure integrity. You have to MacGyver the drawers to make them strong enough to handle clothes and withstand some opening and closing.

The drawers workaround (aka the MacGyver): to make the drawers slightly stronger you have to do a bit of extra work. This requires longer and thicker screws than what the factory provides. You can secure the drawers more with a little engineering - bigger screws (but not so big to protrude into the drawer itself) and some wood glue.

The knobs on front panel are actually quite nice and the finish is good -- but the front panel of the drawer is also a bone of contention as it has to also line up with the drawer tong and groove frame as well as the front of the dresser frame perfectly, else your drawers won't close properly. The drawers are on metal rollers and when installed perfectly, they will close the last 1 inch gap on their own. When off even the slightest, they will not do this and you have to manually push the drawers in and overtime this slamming into the white finish around the drawers will wear that off that nice white paint as well.

4th complaint: the beautiful finished top board will scratch if you even look at it wrong; DO NOT place anything metal, plastic or even looks like it potentially make a mark even close to the top of this dresser. The fact that the dresser is near perfect height to act as a changing table, you will likely put down a changing pad and some stuff to hold diapers, powder etc … but you better put down some protective layering first if you want to keep that nice finish from looking some mini hockey team had a practice skate session on your dresser – seriously it will scratch EASILY!

What's Good:
The Frame: the frame is actually made with pretty good quality wood and is half decent in terms of stability and finish.
Looks good; has good dimensions – not too deep so doesn't stick out too far from wall.

Overall – I wouldn't recommend. Too bad cause it's a nice look.

The set is beautiful for either boy or girl, however we ordered this in February 2012 and it is January 2013 and still have not gotten the part needed to fix the drawer. The store hasn't been following up with me either. Too bad because I liked the set, won't be buying another set from Babies R Us.

This dresser was nothing but problems since day one. It was hard to assemble. Drawers don't slide in and out easily. Not sturdy at all the bottoms fall out. And it has an AWFUL smell never went away after 4 months contacted Delta they recommended I take everything out was with baking soda and air for 24-48 hours. What an inconvenience !! I told them that was not a solution for me as a consumer. They sold a bad product!! After a few weeks back and forth with them they sent me a new dresser. I am so disappointed with this dresser it's not even worth my time an effort putting it together.

Was very hard to put together. Might as well have cut the wood and made a dresser from scratch. Got down to making the last drawer and the drawer front was falling apart because the screws that were already put in there by the manufacturer had been stripped. Looks nice and seems sturdy, but ease of putting together was a nightmare.

This product was a pain to put together. The quality is poor- screws were missing, pieces didn't line up, the tracks weren't screwed on properly, etc. A few of the drawers never quite close properly, some of the drawer fronts are crooked, etc. However, it does function and I like the looks so I decided to keep it (what do you expect from pre-fab furniture, anyways?). The big problem is that this piece (and all the furniture from this line) has an awful, strong odor. We thought it would go away eventually but it hasn't. Now the baby is here and everything that is stored within the dresser smells. I called the company and they immediately had a solution (which gives some indication that this isn't a rare problem). The fact that I have to move all the furniture out of the baby's room, wipe it with a solution of water and baking soda, let it air out for 24 hours, and also rewash *everything* that was stored in the dresser does not make me a happy camper. Honestly, put your money towards a different set. It may be stylish but it's not worth the hassle.

I love this product so far. It is a beautiful design and looks wonderful in my little boys nursery. It took a while for me to put it together but it went together easily and the instructions were very easy to follow. I put it together by myself at 35 weeks pregnant. It did take me about two and a half to three hours but like i said, it was by myself at 35 weeks pregnant. It held two garbage bags full of clothes from sizes newborn to 6-9 months with a little room to spare.

I also bought the matching crib, which i absolutely love

Ordered the dresser for my lil boy coming Oct 2012. Hesitant after reading through other reviews. My husband put it together. Does not smell (other than your typical furniture smell.) Brightens the room, nice addition!
