- at 2.5 my son can now easily open the gate door, rendering it useless - more complex locking would have been great.
Until now i liked the tight fit and stylish look on wide openings.
And its strong, withstanding some swinging by a 37lb'r
Couldnt use at top of starirs due to the thick rim under the gate door... Guests trip on it.

I LOVE THE COLOR/DESIGN GOES WELL WITH MY DECOR. VERY STURDY. I ALSO LIKE THE EXTRA LOCK AT THE BOTTOM. SOMETIMES THE LATCH AT THE TOP CAN BE A LITTLE BIT OF A PAIN TO UNLOCK WITH ONE HAND(GETS STUCK) BUT FOR THE MOST PART I CAN UNLOCK IT WITH ONE HAND.

We really love this gate - the installation was easy - we did not even drill any holes. Its wide and tall and the construction is very sturdy. I highly recommend it and i am getting another one now for the other staircase. Our staircase openings are wide so it fit perfectly. We also bought the Dreambaby Auto Close Security Gate Value Pack- 2 Gates and 2 Extenions but with two extensions that did not fit the width of the staircase opening and went back to the store.

This is the perfect gate for us. The height keeps the dogs out and it is sturdy enough that no matter how much our toddler pulls and shakes it doesn't budge. I read the reviews about difficulty adding the extensions but we didn't have any trouble.

Gate is perfect for keeping babies and dogs from entering places they shouldn't. Gate is sturdy so even if dogs jump on it, it will hold its ground.

This is a great baby gate. The same cannot be said for the instructions...they are AWFUL! Munchkin would do itself a favor by revamping the instructions. The incomplete diagram, with no written instructions, and horrible graphics is a disservice to the product. I almost boxed it up and sent it back because the instructions were so bad. Still having problems getting it pressure mounted into our doorway (think I am not strong enough and need hubby to do it), but it is a great looking gate! Hope to get it finally installed tonight!

It was a good price, seems to be good quality, and does the job. However, assembly was horrible. You really need 2 people strength-wise. In assembling we had to use both my husband and I to try to get the ends into the plastic cups that go onto the wall. We ended up busting one of the cups so now that one side pops out but our 1.5 yr old can't move it yet. We hope it just works when they get older too. It also bows in a lot but if we loosen the sides, then they pop out of those cups so it is permanently bowed.

We've used this in a 51" area leading to our front door (we do have floor moldings, but wasn't a problem for us). Once installed, it works well; however, it was sort of a pain to put together: (1) the instruction booklet included features diagrams only, so if you want more details and text instructions you must go online--esp. if you need to add the extensions (2) Munchkin's website had a brief video on installing the gate and even referred to a video on the extensions, but it was no where to be found on the product page (but I did find one on YouTube), (3) The plastic pieces that are already installed in the 4 corners for immediate installation if you do not need extensions---2 where a royal pain to remove (I almost tore one up with a flathead screwdriver--finally used a hammer with it to get it out, (4) It really helps if you have someone helping you hold it steady while you work. After figuring out the installation, so far I'm pretty pleased with this product, but Munchkin could do A LOT better by including the PDF guide from their website with text (and referring to the videos they have as well as making sure they have proper links to videos they reference).

Gate was easy to install. Used at top & bottom of stairs. Like that door doesn't slam shut. Only negative is that my 3 year old can't open it by himself since you have to press the top & bottom button at the same time. Nice looking gate.
