My kid wanted this game for Christmas so we got it. We played it and it was a fun game. Very challenging and fun. A little hard to learn for younger children but great for the 7 and up crowd. The Mario design makes it even more fun for Mario fans and encourages them to play. Makes it fun to learn how to play. 7 and up crowd will love it especially if fans of the game. The question mark box that you shuffle the dice in though is a little too loud. The noise of it is unbearably annoying especially if your kid is shaking it 5 or 6 times! Do not give to babies! That's the only con we have. If you start to run out of the Yahtzee papers just print some in the printer. It's also more of a collectors item than a toy, I mean you should defiantly play the game as many times as you want but strongly discouraged as a child's toy.
We collect Mario Bros. items so that is what we use it for. Playing the game and a collectors item but we do not play with them and give them to other kids to play with. Anyway great game for 7 and up!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I was doing some searches on the net for Mario products and came across this on Toys R Us website. I normally only buy locally, but this was available online only. My son loves Mario and I knew he would love this. It is a lot of fun. Just like the classic Yahtzee only with Mario extras. Normally when my son asks to play with me he wants to either play an electronic game or something make believe, but he has asked to play this every night since we got it. Got it for his birthday and I would recommend this to everyone.
