The Kid'Sleep Globetrotter has many benefits, as a night light, wake-up indicator for young children and an alarm clock for older children. It helps young children have an understanding of when it is time to get out of bed and when it is not. It is a great tool for nighttime self regulation, and the result is that both parents and children get more sleep. The Kid'Sleep Globetrotter helps kids stay in bed until it is time to get up. If the sleeping sheep is lit, kids know to stay in bed. When the awake sheep is illuminated, it is okay to get out of bed and start the day. The Kid'Sleep Globetrotter has an optional alarm, which is a very sweet bird chirping sound followed by a rooster crowing. The Kid'Sleep Globetrotter is wonderful for everyday use and for travel.

i've had this clock for 5 years and i love it. it's been through two of my boys. our oldest son has woken up at 5 am since birth, but when he was two we bought this for him. all it took was one day to teach him how to use it. he will play quietly in his room until the sheep wakes up, and then he's allowed to come get us. best invention ever. we now have our second son using it. it's been a life saver. we've taken it all over the country when we travel, and the boys know in hotel rooms not to get out of bed and play until the sheep is awake. we love it and i've recommended it to many other friends.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I was disappointed that it was not a "plug-in" clock, but rather runs on batteries. Evidently there is an electric version but it was not specified in the description.

I couldn't believe when I saw this had only 1 star... I had to leave a review (my first). This was the best invention EVER! My daughter is almost 5, and has been using this since she got her big girl bed at 2 1/2. She kept getting out of bed thinking it was time to get up, now she knows to wait for her sheep to wake up before she gets up. There is no noise, so she can sleep in, but doesn't get out of bed until she sees the sheep awake. I keep it at the head of her bed... wanted a battery one just for this. The batteries last forever. I think I have only changed them twice. Just got one for little sister for moving to her big girl bed. :)

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Epic Fail

This is a great concept, but comes down to poor design and wishful thinking. My little one is 2 1/2 and this product just was an epic fail and waste of over $30. For starters, the clock is tiny, about the size of an adult hand, so it has to be positioned near the bed just for the child to see it. This leads me to the second flaw - the on/off switch and time setting buttons are easily accessed by little hands. Spent most of the first night checking to make sure my little one hadn't turned it off or switched the time. Third, it is easily closed back into a compact, which my little one figured out right away. Fourth, and maybe this has to do with my little one's age, but the concept just didn't work. He was up at 5am yelling for the sheep to wake up. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
