The backpack is cute and makes cute noises, however it is not a REAL backpack that can be worn. The map is just cardstock paper, easily ripped. The phone makes no noises and the rest of the things are just junk. I feel like I wasted my money.

My daughter is 2 and loves Dora & her talking backpack and she cried wanting it when she seen it in the store. When we got home and I took it out of the box, I was kinda disappointed myself at the fact that the backpack did not have straps. It did not state it anywhere on the package that there was no straps. Well, needless to say the first thing she done was wanted to put it on her back, of course like Dora does. When she seen that I couldn't, she cried again. She has played with it once since we got home with it two days ago. A talking Dora backpack with straps is highly recommended.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This is a cute idea...but has some things I think should be changed. it comes with a map that is made out of thin paper...my daughter just ripped this apart after the first day she had it. And i think the back pack should be soft/plush...not hard...and should have straps so the child can wear it just like dora. The friendship bracelet and cell phone are really cute, but this toy needs to be tweaked a bit in my opinion.

Why doesn't it have straps?

The first question I had when I opened this was, why doesn't it have straps? My daughter picked this out to buy with her birthday money. She was so excited, but was then dissapointed that she couldn't wear it. Even if it had cheap straps that would be better than none. She loves the bracelet though.

I thought it was cute the case opens and closes and if you press the backpack's mouth it sings songs from the show. I was very upset that the map was just a piece of paper obviously it will get ruined quickly, kids and paper don't mix. The map is a very important part of the show and show have been made out of something more durable.
