We selected this water gun for a five year old, and thought that it looked like easy operation with a good sized fill hole. She is able to use the gun easily and even fill it herself without a problem.
The problem is that the dark blue paint on the handle came off all over our hands and her legs. Based on someone else's review this is probably because of the sunscreen... It's a child's toy, to be used in good weather, when you put sunscreen on a kid... They should have used better paint. I'm disappointed because now I have to try and remove the rest of the paint.

This super soaker is the easiet thing to carry everywhere.My sister and I can strike at our friends from 25 feet away.This is the best super soaker yet by Nerf.My sister loves the Point Break and I do too.Keep it up!!!

I was very surprised at this product.
Both Nerf and the Super Soaker brand are usually such high quality- but this was awful.

Maybe some cutbacks were made in the acquisition- but this gun leaks like crazy.

This is the smallest and least expensive water blaster in Nerf's 2011 new line of SuperSoaker series.
It's enough to get a SuperSoaker war started though!
easy to fill, easy to pump, trigger has a nice soft pull too.
Doesn't hold a large amount of water but enough to give someone a good starter soaking lol

few cons:
1. It uses a "pinch" valve type trigger, so once you pump to a certain pressure it starts to leak out of the barrel tip.
No big deal though because it has one awesome redeeming feature...you can pump and shoot at the same time and it shoots a 20 to 25 (slightly angled) foot stream!!
2. the handle is "painted" blue and some spray on sun block will chemically interact with the paint causing it to smudge and possibly come off. May cause staining of hands, clothes and the toy itself.

few quirks:
A bit odd looking (not in a bad way)
for some reason it seems that it runs out of water quicker when you use short bursts than when you empty the tank in one continuous shot.
