For the most part it does its job by blocking the sun from blinding my baby, however I drive a SUV and width-wise the shade does not sufficently cover the window. The top plastic part from where the shade is drawn is longer than the shade itself. Due to the angle of my window where it slopes down only fits the shade in the center of the window so there are gaps where sun does escape in, thankfully the canopy on the carseat helps protect baby. Maybe better fit on a car. UV indicator is neat.

It's just average. The product works as suggested. If it was wider, it would probably work better in an SUV rear window vs a compact car. It sits diagonally in my car but even then it doesn't cover the whole rear window. It also prevents my window from closing all the way when I use the hooks but the suction cups have been working great & I've been using them for almost 8 months now. One of the shades melted in the round part so that you couldn't pull it up or down. BRU was great & they allowed me to exchange it (in store) for another one & I haven't had any issues since. The lady at guest services did say that I was not the first person to exchange it for that reason, so I don't know if there was just a bad batch that went out. Who knows. But I haven't had any issues since then. Oh yeah, & the UV thing does change color in the sun. Honestly, I don't know why this is useful but I bought this particular one because of the good reviews it got (on another website) on how well it sticks to the window.

We've only been using this for 2 months and one of the suction cups has turned convex and wont stick and the bottom one kept coming loose as well. We've only used this in the winter so far, but seeing that everyone is having problems with this melting in the summer, Im glad I yanked it off the window.

I have two of these..one for husbands truck and one for my SUV. They are too small for both windows. In my SuV i installed using the hooks that go over the window instead of the top suction cup option and the window definetly doesn't seal all the way. You can hear wind when driving. Also the bottom suction that is supposed to keep the shade in place does not work at all. Mine came all folded and mishaped so it doesn't stick. My husbands is working ok so far but after reading reviews about it melting i'm not looking forward to summer. I ended up ordering the stick on window one for my car...we'll see if that works better and this is going in trash.

The Brica UV Alert Shade does a good job of blocking out most of the sunlight. I only wish it was a little wider to cover the whole window. I also like the extra feature of the pull-tab alerting you of UV rays.

the suction cups worked great but the warm tempature melted the glue. i found glue on my backseat and the visor part would not pull down.

I have 3 kids ages 2,4, and 6 and so far these shades have lasted the longest, and actually cut the glare,and kept the car cooler...they are worth a shot.,,i tried the munchkin ones cause my kids liked the colorful designs,however they did a poor job of cutting the glare out.,,,
