This thing stinks!!! I asked this for Christmas, I was most excited for this particular item, becuz then me and my mom can communicate from my bedroom to the kitchen. When I first tried it out I was soooo disappointed! All you here is static!!! You can barely even here the person on the other line!! You can't leave it on unless you use it!! I had to call down to my mom in the kitchen to turn it on! Total Rip-OFF! Finally my mom just said it wasn't worth it and threw it out! Piece of Junk
