This stroller is near perfect for a lightweight stroller. It reclines in several positions for your sleeping infant. You can also use it forward facing or rear facing, which is a GREAT feature to have, especially with younger infants. It's also pretty compact and is agile on turns. When I'm in stores, it really comes in handy that I can get this in aisles and around turns that the standard stroller can't make. That's probably what I like best about this.

It also has a sleek and modern design--in fact, the only downside to the design is that it has way too many imitators now. You used to see a design like this and know it was a Quinny, now every tom, dick and harry stroller company has copied its look--oh well.

I've read other reviews on this stroller and I must defend the Quinny a bit for those who are seriously considering purchasing one. Most of the complaints I've seen (small storage basket, tipping over when hanging things from the handles) are about features you should not expect in a lightweight stroller. This is NOT a full-sized stroller so it seems a bit unreasonable (IMO) to purchase a lightweight stroller, then complain that it does not have the features of a full-sized one.

Yes, the storage basket is small, BUT it is big enough to store a small to medium sized diaper bag. I actually like that the basket is small. With my first child, I bought a full-sized stroller & huge diaper bag and lugged them around for about a month before I realized I'm not that kind of mom. I don't like traveling with everything but the kitchen sink when we go out. So I ended up giving that stroller & bag to my son's grandma (who watched him a lot) and I bought a small stroller & a medium sized purse and it was just us, the stroller & a purse when we traveled. This time around, knowing that I only like to travel with absolute essentials, the Quinny Zapp Xtra really appealed to me when I saw it. Now, I put my son's changing kit in the basket and everything else goes into my small purse and we're good to go.

Yes, the stoller will tip if you hang things from the handles, BUT I don't think there is any lightweight stroller on the market that allows you to hang things from the handles. Further, there is a sticker on the handle that warns you not to hang things from it. So I ask why ignore the clear instructions that say not to hang things from it, then complain that the stroller tipped over when you hung your purse from the handles?

I've also seen people complain that it does not have a smooth ride. I've never had a problem with the ride at all so I can't really comment on that. I can say that I use this stroller every morning and every afternoon to walk my oldest child to and from the bus stop. I also take the baby for a walk in this every day and to run errands. My infant is now 5 months old and in those 5 months, it's been easy to push and hasn't given us any trouble on sidewalks or anywhere else.

Finally, I will say that this does have a two step folding process. You have to remove the seat before you fold the frame portion of the stroller. That is a disadvantage from other lightweight strollers with one step folding and I was mildly concerned about that before purchasing this stroller. But I bought this before my baby was born and practiced about three or four times to get the process down and now it's a breeze to set up and take down. I hardly think about it anymore and I don't believe it takes me anymore time then it did when I used a one hand folding stroller.

Overall, I'm very happy with this stroller and would recommend it to other parents!

We bought this for our son who was an infant at the time, and though I foresaw some issues, I opted to get it as it seemed and was very comfortable for my then 2 month old.

Pros:
- Very comfortable for smaller babies
- Great underside basket. I keep a small bag filled with baby essentials in it all the time and still have room for other stuff
- I love the adjustable extended canopy

Cons:
- Very heavy and cumbersome
- Extremely difficult to close. It's a multi step process that requires 2 hands (more if you have them). I've been embarassed more than once trying to close it in public
- Once closed, it's difficult to keep folded as the strap is too short and there is no holding strap for ease of carrying
- There are 3 different lengths to the 5 point harness but they all seem awkward. The part that extends from the seat is very short for my average 9 month old
- No peekaboo window in canopy
- No bottle/cup holder or additional storage
- Almost impossible to keep clean because of the material. Removal for washing is a huge undertaking
- Uneven and unsturdy steering. The handles are very wobbly.
- The wheels have a mind of their own and the front wheels fall off
- Bumpy ride for baby. Horrible on cobble or textured streets
- It reclines in 3 positions. The most upright position is too far back

I would not recommend this to anyone. Save yourself a lot of money and aggravation. Get something else.

Comments about Quinny 1009754 Quinny 2011 Zapp Xtra Stroller - Rocking Black:

all the negative comments on this product have it all wrong. Maybe they possibly got a messed up stroller, but mine is pure perfection! I have had soooo many strollers and this is the best! Our baby isn't due until next month, but I took it on a test ride this morning with my 3 year old and I have never had a stroller handle so wonderfully! I also have a double stroller with the seats that remove before it gets folded, and I love it. Baby can actually face you or away, which you cant get with a reg. stroller. I saw someone comment on this stroller have "teenie tiny wheels'...so far from the truth...the wheels on this stroller are amazing! so thick and wide, they breezed through the gravel on our walk today! Not those cheap plastic wheels like on a Graco stroller. It folds down so nicely and really isn't that hard to break down if you know what you are doing. Common sense people! it's a great stroller, enough said!

We use this stroller for short walks around the city and love it! It is easy to control and light weight. I love the look of it- very sleek and well made. The individual handles are nice and allows you more control. We love the fact that we can turn our daughter around to see us if we like-our other stroller only allows for the child to face out. Sun visor is nice and big. Over all, great stroller!

I went to the Union square babies r us in NYC to add this to my registry and I had no clue this stroller never closes w/ the chair in it!!!! in fact no sales person even told me that important fact!So i got it not knowimg the nightmare i was about to face, and it is so crazy when i put the seat on that i read in the instructions that i have to remove it to close the stoller? REALLY!? who does this work for? not me, how can i carry a baby, a stroller seat, the frame?what am i an octopus? i only have 2 hands! i contacted the store however i passed the 90 day return policy and i did not even use the chair yet since i bought the carseat and thats what i been using since my baby is only 4 months old. It was the job of the sales associate to let me know that important detail and so the store manager who i got in contact with told me he would help me since it was his stores fault not letting me know about the no folding w/ chair issue. i also contacted the manufactuer and they offered a refund only if i DESTROYED the chair and ship them parts of it? And not to mention the stroller wont close easy, it jams and gets stuck when i have to take it apart to close the frame. so i had to stay stuck w/ this not cheap useless stroller. thanks Quinny! thanks babies r us Union Square. Thanks for nothing!

Oh and god forbid you hit a crack in the pavement the teeny tiny wheels can't even make it over. If you take it shopping with you theres no way to hang a bag or your purse on it without it almost flipping over. I'm not usually so negative but hopefully my bad review can save you the[$] bucks.

This is a very convenient lightweight stroller that has good looks! It is the most compact modular stroller (with reversible seat) on the market. The large canopy with side windows is great! However, it doesn't have the features of a full-sized stroller. It doesn't have suspension, so often times you will get a rough ride. The handle bars are NOT adjustable, so if you are a tall person, this is not the stroller for you. The storage basket is extremely small. Definitely not a stroller for you to take to an amusement park or an all-day affair. This would be suitable as a second or alternate stroller.

Comments about Quinny 1009754 Quinny 2011 Zapp Xtra Stroller - Rocking Black:

Got this for our new baby after getting rid of our other baby stuff when we thought we were done having kids. Love it for its design- super sleek and modern, love the smoothness of ride and the adapters for the car seat. Also love the easy brakes- push on and off. Mine also came with the stroller carry case and weather guard which have been very useful!
