I was actually surprised (after reading some poor reviews) that this product works exactly as pictured on the box. We do have very good water pressure. It is true that the opposing side will not fill with water, unless you make sure to stretch all sides of the slide nice and taught. You can't leave any wrinkles anywhere. As it fills you need to continue pulling outward, and also make the entry is nice and taught when you add the spikes.

The spikes are at the entry in predesigned holes - they hold it perfectly in place, while the far end is weighted down by the water it is filled with. I have very thick grass, so the spikes stay in nicely, even with children running all over it.
My kids are 2 1/2 (twin boys) and 5 yr old girl. They love it.

Just as with pools of the same material, you'll have to be carefull not to tear it.
I will say the hose connector is not the greatest quality - but in this price range what can you expect? So I gave it 5 stars, for working as promised.

Follow the directions and try to get the slide on as level of an area of your lawn as you can get. I had to try it on different spots of the lawn. When I found the right spot, the water did not spray up as nearly as high as it should. My husband suggested that there was too many holes in the hose portion of the slide, so we used black electric tape and taped up every other hole. This did help. My boys are small, so they had fun running on it and slipping, even thought the water wasn't spraying very high. I got time in the garden and when I got hot, I ran on it with them. It served it purpose, I was happy.

I read a few negative reviews about it not working on both sides. When you get this toy you will realize that you need to pull the sides out all the way and then curl them in so the water jets in. If the water does not go all the way around it is because there is a fold. The sides are like a hose, and hoses don't let water through when folded.

I have a 3 and 5 year old. The 5 year old can slide half way.
Both loved it more as a wading pool and just splashed in it. It held water about 1" deep.

My slide the water would spray all the way up to the center channel if I had the hose on high.

Something that surprised me was that the connector did not leak. Almost every garden hose connector I've ever seen - leaks. It wouldn't matter anyway, because it is on grass. I just thought it was a good example of quality construction.

I just went and brought this slide, because the weather was just right and I wanted the kids to have some fun outside. 5 boys,all ages,all sizes. They raced,did stunts,endless fun (and noise). Honestly, this slide is VERY durable. If it can take the roughness of my ACTIVE boys, it can take anything.

We purchased this slide for our daughter's 4th birthday party. Had over 25 kids using it and it was used non stop from little ones to older children. Worth every penny we spent and would highly recommend to others.

I bought this for my brother's kids and they had a fabulous time on it. The 3 of them were racing and competing - and the slide held up to it all! I am so glad I got this because it has provided hours of fun and laughter for the whole family.

I had a party for mostly boys. The LOVED this wide slide that they can spin around and do stunts on. A GREAT BUY!!!!
