try as we might to not use a pacifier we caved at 3 weeks. These pacifiers work well - soothe the "savage baby" :-) Rated 3 instead of 5 because the Stage 1 size for 0-6 months is very small and our boy outgrew it quickly. Stage 1 would be great for a premie.

Appreciated othodontic approach to the design of the actual pacifier

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
