I opened the box myself and also found no sponge in it. i tried a baby wash cloth and cut it to size and found this to work..hope this helps all the parents with the same prob as me.

My son received this for his birthday from my brother. When I opened it up to let him play with, the sponge that is necessary to make the foam was missing. He never got the chance to play with it. This is the 2nd thing that he has received from this company that did not work.

My son got it for his 4th b'day, I opened the package myself, no sponge in the box, therefore, it didn't work and sorry to see the little one disappointed!!!!

My daughter got this for her birthday and it worked great. Not to where our whole property was covered in foam but it was a good amount. One thing is that you cannot get too much solution into the actual gun. We did this by accident and it stopped working. It took 24 hrs of air drying and it worked again. She got bored of it pretty quickly but for the first couple of days she had a blast with it.

I purchased this the Foam-i-Nator for my 6 yr-old and 3 yr-old, they are having so much fun. I put batteries in and it worked right perfectly. I feel that we will enjoy this all summer long. Nice change of pace from just plain bubble.

Did not work at all. I made sure to put new battieries in and it did not work so I tried another pack of new batteries and nothing. I also bought 2 of the smaller guns for my other 2 children and those guns worked but the suds were so very weak it just dripped from the gun.
