I am throwing an Ariel Party for my daughters 3rd Birthday. I decided I didn't want to spend $100 on someone to do face painting which seems to be the average price I found. This is definitely a great alternative. When I applied them myself it didn't turn out quite as brilliantly colored as pictured. The red looks good though, so Ariel ones are a great character choice. I got 8 applications out of a single pad. Then I figured out if you breathe on it to moisten it up you can get 2 more good applications out of it. There are 4 pads total. So you get 8-10 out of each pattern.
Also comes with setting powder pad. I like these because they stand up to a 3 year old touching them better than actual face paint. I would have given this product 5 stars if it looked as pictured but it is more pastel and somewhat light compared to actual face paint. Still think it is a great product and will purchase the pirate ones for the boys.
