We have had this set for about a year, my daughter is almost 3 and loves to play with this. We have it as part of our tea set. It's very fun, all the tops come off so you can mix and match with the white, chocolate, and yellow cupcakes.

These are definitely NOT worth more than $6.99 because they are very cheaply made. The mix and match tops don't stay on the cupcakes well and the cupcakes themselves are flimsy. I remember the pretend cupcakes I played with as a child from the 1990's and they were so much more well-made! I wish they were still made that way so I could buy them for my kids. They were actually solid, rather than these hollow ones that can be stepped on and destroyed. Toys used to be be so much better...kinda sad.

    My daughter got these for Christmas when she was two, and two years later she still loves them. She played with these more than other toys that cost a lot more money. It is true that putting the tops on is not the easiest thing to do, but who cares?

        My kids love playing with these however they are smaller than I thought they would be and the frosting is hard for the kids to put back on after you take it off. My 2 year old and my 5 year old usually hand me the cupcake to put the frosting back on. They really don't seem to mind and they do play without the frosting most of the time because it still looks like it has frosting even when it's bare.

          These "cupcakes" have been field tested by approx.
          50 children ranging in ages from 3 to 8 yrs. old in a daycare setting. They absolutely love these! The
          "like real" design makes it easy for immaginative play and the construction has proved to be truly durable and almost "indestructable". They also clean up easily when too many dirty hands have touched them. The only problem is that I should have bought two! Where were these kinds of toys when I was a kid?

            These cupcakes are so cute. My granddaughter and I put them in "her" oven without the tops and then decorated them with the tops when they were done. They're fun to mix and match. They're really durable and the little pan is easy to slip in and out of the oven. They're just so cute and fun to play with.

              I bought this for my 2.5 yr old daughter for Christmas. It is super cute, but not well made. The frosting is hard plastic and the cupcake is super soft plasic. Little hands can easily remove the frosting, but replacing it is impossible, even for a 30 yr. old mom! I was so frustrated with it, I repackaged and returned it.
