My wife and I just recently bought this mattress and love it. Before purchasing it I tried out the fitment on most of the cribs in the store and it fit perfectly fine. This is a great mattress and a must buy!

Baby arrives next month, but wanted to share initial thoughts on this mattress as we have already set it up in the crib...

This is one of the pricier mattresses, but after reading endless reviews and going to several BRU stores and other retailers to personally test the various mattresses, we really liked the Stearns & Foster Baby Dynasty Eco-Luxe Mattress. Pricing was the same at all BRU stores and online when we checked in Nov 2011-Jan 2012. At the end of Jan 2012, BRU sent an email on a 2-day sale and buried deep inside the ad, it listed this mattress being discounted by $100 (a hundred dollars) - (i.e. the sale price was 2/3 of the original online and store price...better than any 20% off coupon could ever offer) - so, we jumped at the offer and had the mattress shipped to our house. The mattress arrived within 10 days and was in perfect condition.

Upon removing it from the plastic zip cover, there was no discernible chemical smell - and believe me, this 8+ month pregnant gal has been quite sensitive to smells this entire pregnancy! The dual firmness feature is clearly marked for infants on one side, and toddlers on the other - the toddler side is only slightly softer than the infant side. It is lightweight and I had no difficulty carrying it up a flight of stairs. It fit perfectly into our standard-sized Delta Venetian Convertible Sleigh Crib (after also being fitted into our Carter's waterproof fitted mattress pad and the Clouds and Stars QuickZip Crib Sheet set we had purchased). The square corners aligned perfectly with our crib and there was no bunching of the mattress. The mattress does not make any crinkly sound or hold an indentation when we press our weight down, unlike MANY of the lesser quality mattresses we tested.

Of course, we need to await the arrival of our little one to test the long-term durability, firmness, and cleaning factors of this mattress... Just wanted to reassure readers that our mattress did in fact meet the standard mattress measurements and fit like a glove in our crib, as one of the earlier reviewers had a different experience with theirs...

I chose this mattress because our daughter and son-in-law wanted an eco-friendly, foam product. They were very pleased with its quality. UNFORTUNATELY, the mattress is NOT a standard size and does not fit their crib . It is 1" longer. Dimensions were checked online prior to the purchase. The general description lists the length to be 51 5/8". When I found out that the mattresss would not fit their crib, I further investigated and found another set of dimensions online under additional information. It was there that the length was listed s 52 5/8".

Compliments to the staff at the BRUS store in Orlando Millenia Mall as they have been most helpful in the return since this product was bought at a store in Indiana and picked up there.

I have searched and searched for a good organic mattress. Everything I tried was a fiasco! It was either cheap quality, too long, too hard, too thin, you name it! I came accross this one while in store and I was thrilled. Does not claim to be organic but has most of the features I wanted as not having anything harmful in it which is more than enough for me. It's much more comfortable than the other spring mattresses we tried. My baby is comfortable in her crib, no problem with fitting the crib, light weight. The only comment I have is that the infant side and the toddler side are not that different! Overall I am satisfied, got it $50 cheaper online than the store price.

I bought this mattress for my daughter for her first child due the end of June. I was so impressed with the quality that I bought another one for myself for the crib I had at my house. I had planned on purchasing a lower priced mattress for my crib, since my grandaughter would not be sleeping it it every night, but I decided to get the same one because this mattress was much better quality and well worth the extra money. This mattress is firmer, which is recommended for an infant. It also has a toddler side which is a little softer, but still very supportive. If you push on it, it does not sink in the way the less expensive mattresses did. The square corners fit both cribs perfectly, and the outside material is thicker so I believe it will last longer. It is also much lighter than a spring mattress so it is easy to pick up to change the sheets. My daughter has a convertible crib and this mattress will last well beyond the toddler bed. I would definitly recommend this mattress.
