This mattress was too soft. We transitioned my son from his bassinett to his crib when he reached 15 pounds. This mattress allowed him enough bounce to roll over prematurely. He ended up laying face down with his arms and legs stuck out of the crib, but was too young to get out of that dangerous position. Luckily it happened while I was watching him. We purchased a firmer mattress with more coils and my son has not been able to roll over or move to the edges of the crib since then. This mattress may pose a suffocation risk if your baby moves as much as mine does.

We couldn't afford the more expensive mattresses but also didn't want to buy the cheapest one available. The in-store info helped me to choose this one. Our baby girl started sleeping on it 9 months ago and slept through the first night and every night since (except for when teething) at periods of 9-12 hours each. She also naps up to 3 hours a day on it. Very sturdy. It does not sink down when we lay her down, it is very firm. It fits our crib perfectly (we have a crib/changer combo)and have not had any problems with the mattress sinking down at the edges when she tries to climb out. As we are using her crib for our next baby, we purchased this mattress for her new toddler bed.

We have had this mattress for approximately 9 months and our daughter has been sleeping on it for the last 5 months. We choose it after testing out various other mattresses in the store and researching some of the brands we tested. The mattress fits snuggly inside our crib with no gaps between the crib sides and mattress. My daughter is approximately 20 pounds and I have no problems with her depressing the mattress when I lay her on it. She sleeps wonderfully on it. In fact, we like it so much, we are purchasing a second one for the crib at grandma's house.

my husband and I originally went to the store to purchase the "perfect dream" mattress but the store was sold out of that one. the other mattresses were way too expensive and so we ended up buying this one. Well to my surprise my newborn couldnt be happier! He truely loves it. Just goes to prove that more expensive isnt necessarily better. Its great quality, perfect firmness, cant feel the coils, and doesnt have any weird smells lol. And of course waterproof.

I bought this mattress because it was in stock at my local BRU. However, I promptly returned it because it was too soft. My 22 lb daughter depressed the mattress about 3" lying down, and the total depth of the mattress is a little over 5". Not firm at all!

This mattress was too small for our standard size crib. Like other reviewers, I could slide my hand easily between the crib and the mattress. This made my pediatrician husband very uneasy. In addition, it was too soft for his standards as well. Between the softness and the size, I was very uncomfortable using this for my soon-to-be-here baby. I will be returning the mattress tomorrow.

Mattress isnt in use yet but we tested it at the store before we even bought it. Its not and firm but not too firm. it feels really comfy even to us adults. it fitted perfectly inside our crib. It was well worth the buy even though it doesnt cost a small fortune.

This mattress is flimsy. My twins are not very big and just went into the crib for the first time. I put her into it and the whole mattress indented around her and she is only 12 pounds at 5 months. Babies R Us has a horrible return polciy, even though it was bought on our registry they will not let us return it. We were 2 days past the 90 day return policy, which I think is ridiculous given the circumstance that our twins were in the NICU and didn't get to use it prior. Had I known this, I would not have registered at Babies R Us. We were told to call Kolcraft and they have horrible customer service. I would NOT recommend wasting you or someone elses money. Spend the money and get a safe, firm crib mattress.

This review is strictly off the mattress, our baby isn't due for a few more months but I'm so type A that I have to have everything ready to go :) It fits snugly in our Delta Delaney Convertible Crib/Changer combo, when depressing the sides I was pleasantly surprised to see that they don't have much give, great for if/when baby decides to start standing up in crib. The surface has a nice pattern that doesn't show through sheets and seems like it'd be easy to clean when accidents might occur. When I was doing my research I found that the mattresses with more coils you could actually FEEL the coils through the mattress, with this you can't. I only want the very best for my baby, and you can't beat the quality for this price.
