This was a gift at my shower. It is amazing. Extremely lightweight, and simple to open and close. It was a bit tricky at first, but took seconds to figure out.

According to Brica, the non-mesh sides of this travel bassinet are NOT a breathable fabric. They also say you should stop using this travel bassinet when your infant hits 3 months or 15 pounds or becomes at all mobile. None of this is disclosed in the product instructions, packaging, or description.

I recieved this item as a gift after adding it to my baby registry. I was so excited! I loved the colors and the stability of the piece--it was one of my favorite gifts. At first. My issue was that it was difficult to collapse. You have to use both hands to push the side buttons in simultaniously and then you almost need a third hand to close it (everyone at my shower tried it and thought it was a pain). I had finally mastered the closeing of teh bassinet by pushing in one button with my knee, the second button with my right hand and then using my left to close it. It was an ordeal to say the least and my baby hasn't even been born yet -- imagine the added hassle of a fussy baby in your arms! I washed the sheet over the weekend and was pleased to see that it still fit after a washing which I know was a problem for some others here. After I put the clean sheet on I went to close the bassinet and the whole thing snapped in half slicing my finger in the process! Luckily, BRB has been great and is reimbursing me even though the box was tossed over the weekend. They offered to send me a replacement, but I opted for store credit. Hopefully I can find something easier to operate!

This bassinet has proved to be worth its weight in gold. We used it when our little guy was a newborn for sleeping on the couch (supervised, of course) and use it a lot now that he's an older infant for visits to friends houses and traveling. The only reason I didn't give it 5 starts is because the bottom is soft (has to be for folding) and the pad is very thin, which means it needs to be put on a soft surface for baby to be comfortable. It's really great in the middle of a big bed!

We will be using this when we travel to visit family this holiday season. But this bassinet is also very convenient to take on even an short afternoon visit. It allows a clean, safe place for naps, it is sturdy and easy to use. Other reviewers have already said, don't expect to be able to pick up baby while he is in the bassinet. I was thrilled to find a small travel bed that meets safety standards.

Our son is 2.5 weeks old now and he's been sleeping next to the bed in this bassinet in our room. We wanted something that we could use again after transitioning him to the crib and didn't like the bulkiness of a pack & play so thought this would be an excellent solution. We're super happy with it and our boy sleeps well in the bassinet. We look forward to using it on some weekend trips in a couple of months over the holidays. It's something you can pack in a suitcase for air travel or even carry on - with its weight and size it's super convenient. The only thing I'd change to make it "perfect" is to add an extra 1/2 inch to the thickness of the mattress and perhaps have a hard base so that the bassinet can be moved with the baby in it. It totally suits our needs though and we're very happy with it. It seems like it'll fit him for quite a while too.
