Fijit Friends™ are every girl's best friend - interactive, robotic toys full of personality that talk, dance, laugh and bring a new level of innovation to playtime. Made of soft, tactile skin that enables lifelike movements, girls can poke and squeeze a Fijit Friend™ for fun surprises. With word recognition capability, Fijit Friends™ can understand and respond to more than 30 verbal commands, culling from more than 150 built-in phrases and jokes. Girls only have to turn up the music dial to transform their Fijit Friend™ into a dancing machine. I purchased this for my daughter's seventh birthday. She loved it!!! It has to be played with in a quiet space as the microphone to give it instructions will pick up background noise and not understand you. My little one danced with it so much it finally told her " What a workout! ".She plays with it so much we have went through about 40 Batteries in a month!!!!

I bought this for my daughter and I had to take it back 2 days later. We would ask it to dance and it would say something like "all right" and start it's next sentence and just stop and freeze, mid sentence, for a split second. It would then ask a completely different question not related to the dancing. I went to exchange it at toys r us [...]It also had a hard time responding to my daughters voice. She was getting very frustrated because it would not respond to her. It would say "Knock, Knock", & she would say "Who's there?", and it would pause and say "Your supposed to say 'who's there?'". She was like, "I said that!". It would recognize my voice but it had problems with hers. Also for the very short time we did use it I think we went thru almost everything it does in less than 20 minutes. I was expecting much more from this interactive toy, especially for [$]. I think the kids will be bored of this after the first week. All hype & advertising.

I absolutely adore Fijit Friends! We purchased Serfina for our daughter Layla's 6th birthday - omg - she is soooo cute - and polite too - I want one myself.! Layla just loves this little friend and is already planning on when the rest of the Fijit family will be coming to live with us!! Our daughter Emm has fallen in love with Logan. Every child should have a Fijit Friend. Very clever and very very cute Mattel. Love it!!

This was looking to be a very exciting toy, however, after 2 or 3 days of use it became very uninteresting. The hearing mechanism doesnt pick up my daughters voice unless she yells, it got incredibly dirty very fast, and even after cleaning it looks dingy. Also, you must know exact phrases and I do mean EXACT, to get it to do things. I must say though, the dancing sure is cute.
