We have never used the bowl for snacks like many people have. It has been very helpful for my son to learn how to feed himself with a spoon with foods like yogurt and oatmeal. It's pretty easy to take apart and wash the separate pieces by hand or in the dishwasher. It would be nice to be able to throw it in there. I bought only one for my son, but I am adding another to my registry for the daughter I'm expecting.

People who say it doesn't work, try to make it spill. If you actually try to use it properly will see it works great, so until then, be quiet skeptics don't say ANYTHING until you try to use it correctly. Even if it spills, don't be lazy and not clean it up. So until you use it, BE QUIET!

Within 6 sconds or so, my 1 year old figured out how to dump the cheerios in the bowl. I thought that at least he would play with it, but he lost interest in a couple minutes.

The Gyro bowl does what it promises, BUT my kids shook it and their snacks came flying out, so it didn't help me at all!!

was not what I expected. My 10 month old figured out how to hold the inside bowl right away so it wouldn't spin. Puffs went EVERYWHERE! I even tried different size items and nothing stayed in the bowl. definitely will NOT be used in the car or on the go. Wish I would have read the reviews first and I would have saved some money.

The gyro is unspillable, bright and colorful. It is dishwasher safe but you have to hold it open until you get it safely onto at least one of the dish spikes, otherwise it will right itself and you will have a bowl full of dirty water. What the ball can't do is keep your floor, carseat, etc. free of food. If you are using it for a toddler it seems that if it won't spill naturally a toddler has an overwhelming desire to retrive handsful of whatever you have in the bowl only to scatter it in the floor, carseat or whatever. Now if they can make a bowl to stop deliberate scattering that will be an awesome product. Overall this is a great product that comes with a lid and is dishwasher safe.

It took my 22 month old about 15 seconds to dump EVERY goldfish cracker out of this bowl. Total waste of time and money.

Had I read the reviews before, I probably would have saved my money. This product does not work as advertised and is most certainly not an ideal snack bowl for an active toddler on the move. I have had to pick up many a spill from the floor after my 20 mos old has dropped, tipped over, or just played with this bowl. Save your money and purchase the much cheaper and more effective "snack traps".

I bought this for my very active daughter. As soon as I gave it to her, her snacks went all over the sofa. Not worth a dime.
