Stops working after a week

This doll stopped making sounds after only one week. Changed out the batteries and still doesn't work. Called the store (bought it while out of town) and they said they would only exchange it for a new one if I came into the store. I don't live anywhere near a Toys R Us, so this isn't possible, they wouldn't even consider shipping the item. Most unfriendly manager, will not ever shop at a Toys R Us again.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

My parents were so excited to give this doll to my daughter for Christmas. They thought it babbled and looked like her. At first, it was cute, but after one day, it worked at different times. I didnt know what was wrong with it, and on the second day it totally shut down. My husband threw the package away so we cant even exchange it. Im so upset that I have to tell my parents that it stopped working after a few uses.

My daughter loved this when she got it. She could put the pacifier in and out of it's mouth, and loved the noises it made. Unfortunately, it would not shut off! It has an on/off switch on the back, but I can't figure out why. You turn it off and squeeze the hand and it still makes noise. I tried to exchange it, and every one on the shelf did the same thing. Manufacturer defect I think. I kept hearing this thing go off on the monitor at 3 am when she would roll over on the hand and the thing would start cooing and wake her up. I returned it!

Our daughter, who is Asian, just had her 2nd birthday. Her grandma gave her an "Asian" baby doll. When my husband took it out of the package we both made the comment that it didn't look very Asian. We absolutely cracked up at the "baby" sounds it makes. It sounds like a bad recording of a wounded animal - a masculine one at that. If you really want this doll look for a gently used one at a consignment shop or [$]. I would not spend the $ on a new one. Surely there are better looking and sounding Asian dolls out there.
