This is the best carseat we have used for our daughter or any of our neices.nephews. It is the only seat that I have felt is really secure in the car. It is very simple to install (and I've installed it in 3 different cars both front and rear facing), my husband, mom and step father have also installed it.

OUr daughter is on the larger size for her age and this is the only seat that really seems to support her and not squish her. We did not have this until she was about 6 months old, so didn't use it with a newborn. It is large but it fits fine in our 2 large sedans.

LOVE the adjustment without rethreading - SO SO easy. We'll probably get another one of these for our other car at some point. GREAT SEAT.

Really like the chair, works well, is spacious for our child. Great cleaning chair. Really like the ability to attach one strap at a time to the center buckle.

But receiving a chair 2 years into a 7 year life is a big problem. Buying for a a child to be born means you'll need to buy a second chair for the remainder of their childhood, much less for a second child.

Researched and loved the reviews. Safety standards were important. Absolutely love this seat. I'm a father of 6 and this is by far the best child seat that I've had. The kickstand for the rear facing to help stabalize the seat...pure genius. The seatbelt adjustment push button and height handles...bless you! There is nothing better!

This is a great seat! It was very easy to install and get a good, secure fit in our car (Ford Edge). The anti-rebound bar is one of the main reasons I went with this seat. My daughter is 13 months old and is very comfortable in the true fit and doesn't mind getting into her car seat anymore. Can't recommend this enough!

Even though this car seat is a bit expensive, it's well worth the money! It's spacious, comfy, adaptable, & most importantly, my son loves it! This car seat definitely looks like it's made to last, & I plan on using it for a very long time.

This seat doesn't it either our sedan or our SUV. It's extremely reclined backward, doesn't fit level without a bunch of towels (in which case the latch system won't reach the latches) and so big that the front seat has to be pushed completely forward to give my 2 year old 2 inches of leg room. I highly suggest staying away from this piece of junk.

This is actually made by First Years...This will be the 3rd one I buy for my Grandson that will arrive 2/14/2013...My oldest Granddaughter is 28 months and her sister is 16 months...they started in the infant carrier type Car Seat from First Years and moved into Lamaze convertible!
It is rated the highest in the past 5 years from the Highway Safety...being a Paramedic I did do my research! Installation is a breeze, no issues taking it to the Fire Department to have installed. And it is very easy to keep clean remove all Fabric cover wash in washer, air dry and put back together. 5 point straps are a must when looking for a car seat...Love it and I know my Grand Babies are safe!

The product was too old to be shipped as new merchandise. Babies R Us is selling Lamaze car seats that are almost 2 years old as "new". If you buy one for your 6 month old, you will need a new car seat before they turn 5.

I bought this for my 9 month old who is 30" and 20lb. He was getting to tall for his infant seat. I spent hours researching and looking at different seats and crash test ratings. If you have a tall kid and want to rear face for a long time, this is your seat. 2 is now the minimum recommendation to rear face. I do wish it had a higher weight limit, though 35lb isn't bad. That's the only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars. It's was so easy to install. I really don't understand how anyone could find this hard to install or adjust. It is beyond easy. The harness is east to adjust and we get a snug fit every time. It fits great in my car and it does not move. The rebound bar is so much better to me than a rear tether. I love this seat! It has lots of eps foam as well. In my opinion this is the best for extended rear facing (other than maybe the foonf that is coming out for over twice the price).

I bought this car seat for my mother's car. She does not like the infant car seat I have for my 8.5 month old because the arthritis in her thumbs make it difficult for her to work the buttons to unhook him, so we had to find a car seat she could do this with. This one and another one in the store were the two she had the least trouble with. We picked this one because of all the extra padding and because it claimed to be the easiest to install. The first certified car seat installer we brought it to installed it incorrectly; the second was able to install it correctly but had difficulty--it actually took two of them to install it and about 10 minutes. By comparison, I had them check my Graco SnughRide 32 and it took him about 2 seconds to install.

Difficulty of installation aside, the biggest problem I have with this is that the five-part safety harness does not pull tight enough, so I do not feel my son is safe in it. The police officer who re-installed it suggested taking out all of the extra padding because they were interfering with the path the straps need to take. It pulls tighter with all of that gone (with a lot of effort), but it still does not pull as tightly as my Snug Ride, and the straps always need to be straightened.
