I don't know what is up with all the negative reviews with this toy box. I think people are expecting too much from a piece of furniture for under $100. First of all, yes it is made by Delta, but so are my baby's crib and changing table, which means this matches perfectly.

Everyone complains about how hard the lid was to put on the hinges... so after reading the reviews, I barely started the pre-drilled holes with a wood screw (pointed) and then had absolutely no problem getting in the metal screws (flat). I had this thing put together in less than 30 minutes. I used a Skil electric screwdriver, then hand-tightened. Everything went together smoothly and the directions were easy to follow. And I don't know why anyone complains the two single hinges won't hold the lid; it has the lid stabilizers which not only add safety, but also add strength.

I think the quality is great for the price. I have not had any problems with her dresser or crib, which is the same exact quality. I would definitely recommend this piece. And I am looking forward to using the lid as a blank piece of canvas and personalizing it for my girl.

I was concerned about this product based on other reviews, but for the price was willing to try it. We are very pleased. It was easy to assemble and the quality is actually better than what I expected for the price. My 18-month-old granddaughter can open and close it with ease. The safety latch keeps the lid open and the recessed edge keeps little fingers from getting mashed.

Despite the reviews saying how hard this was to put together and screws being stripped, I purchased this toy chest while it was on sale. Me and my Mother-In-Law got this product together in about 20 minutes. No screws fell out and we used a screw driver (Like the directions say to do) as to not strip the screws. The size is perfect and the toy box is a great addition to my little guy's room. The hinges keep the lid on nice and tightly as well. I can't wait to fill it with toys!

I bought this to store shoes. It worked out great for a few months until the screws on both sides of the lid stripped. There are no anchors and the screws go into particle board. Cheap. I guess I'll find something that was made in America. It'll probably cost $300, but you get what you pay for.

We were looking for a cheap toy box that wasn't plastic, one that didn't necessarily need to stand the test of time. This piece is fine. Even with pre drilled holes, the wood split in a few spots but overall it is what we needed.

Well-built, but slightly damaged wood on one corner. I was pleasantly surprised by the hinges that assist in opening the box lid.

I bought this toy box for my 1 year old cousin for Christmas and coulnd't be happier with how it turned out. When I first opened the box to assemble I was a little intimidated by how many screws and pieces there were but it ended up being a piece of cake! I even bought wooden letters from a craft store, painted them pink, and used wood glue to attach them to the front to personalize it! It's adorable! My ONLY complaint would be that the screws to attach the hinges on the top of the box had no point to them; that ended up being an easy fix too -- I used a sharper screw to start a hole and then finished with the provided screw! Overall I am VERY satisfied with this product! A+

This product is so cheaply made that it cannot even be put together correctly. Screws are different lengths when they are supposed to be the same. Stripping before the screw was even completely inserted. Hinges are loose. Ridiculously cheap for the price. Do NOT buy this product. My friend has one too and her hinges just ripped off when it was opened. Go with the more expensive toybox and save yourself the hassle. I gave the benefit of the doubt and put TWO of these together only to find the same result from the second one.

Just purchased this yesterday and had no problems assembling on my own. Yes, some of the screws could have been pointed to make life a little easier, but at almost nine months pregnant I had this together in less than an hour and it fits perfectly in our nursery. I'm very surprised by all the bad reviews.
