My son, age 3, wanted a Lighting McQueen Electric Guitar for Christmas. It was all he talked about so I was excited to find this item. He ripped into it and could hardly wait for us to get it ready for him to play it. He LOVED it...for about 4 hours when it shorted and refused to play again. The day after Christmas I called TRU and they arranged to send a new one. We received it on Saturday and again my son thought he was a rock star until it started to beep loudly and it shorted out. I am sending back both guitars now and getting my money back, but now have to tell my son that "Santa" will not be able to fix it. Toys R Us however, has been very helpful in the situation.

The description listed is for an First Act ELECTRIC Guitar, not an ELECTRONIC guitar. The difference? An electric guitar is an actual stringed instrument, an electronic guitar is a toy with buttons, no strings. I thought I was purchasing a real guitar for my son to learn to play.
Will he love it an have fun with it anyway? Yes.
Is it the item described, that he would have loved even more and learned some musical skill from?
No.
