Bought this bike for my daughter for Christmas. She will be 4 in one month so we thought if we bought one just a smidge bigger, she would get some years with it. She loves the Pinkalicious books, so we thought the bike would be a good fit. I think the styling is great. All girl bike. Decals were acutally stuck on well and even so it gives a better look. (Not misalligned) The only downfalls I found with this bike was the directions. Some things weren't explained, such as the hand brake. Had to figure it out. (Been a long time since I had my bike)Also the front fender wasn't explained as to which bolt to remove for the instalation. had to play with it for a minute and see what looked best. The bike has decals explaining left and right, but they don't come off easily after the instalation. The other thing I think is missing is reflectors. The ones on the bike are only on the pedals. Nowhere else. (Not like she'll be riding at night)One of the things I did like was the metal chain guard. Won't break off after the first fall. Overall a good bike and I think she will get many years of use.

Cute little bike.Any one with any skills can put together. Comes with directions for different bike so you are on your own somewhat.Have to figure hand brake for yourself. Little common sense and you figure it out.X-mas gift for my daughter,seems very solid.

My four year old LOVES her new bike. I had it assembled at ToysRUs after reading all the reviews. The bike is heavy but she's riding it with no training wheels, so it works for us.

I can't comment on the instructions, I didn't open them. The bike is very similar to all of the BMX bikes I had growing up, so assembling it was pretty straightforward. My daughter is 4, so I felt like the handbrake was a bit much for her. I was disappointed that the handlebar portion of the brake could not be easily removed (involved a hacksaw because it is plastic slip-on style and the hand grips are apparently glued on). The seat stem is also way too short. I think this was a mistake in the packaging and I have a support in with the manufacturer. I'll report back with the findings of that experience.

Cons aside, The frame is sturdy and an interesting design. This bike is the least ugly of all the options we could find near this price-point. Schwinn and Trek make some great looking kids bikes, but for something our daughter will outgrow, I couldn't justify their prices. This is one of the few bikes I could find with a metal chain guard. I remember that my childhood BMX introduced me to cuff clips after eating a few pairs of pants. I suspect that the same thing would happen to my daughter if the plastic chain guards that most bikes have now were to break.

The bike is sturdy which puts it a little on the heavy side. My daughter is having no problems using the bike even though for 5 years old she is very petite. Very pleased so far with the build quality.

The assembly instructions were useless. I wouldn't wish this assembly project on my worst enemy. Oh btw the front fender was warped so I left it off...so much parenting fun!!!!

Just purchased this for my daughter yesterday. The bike seems well made and of good quality. It has a solid frame, but isn't overly heavy so it's easier to handle than some other we tried. However, the assembly instruction don't even MENTION the front caliber break and how to put it together. Seriously, not even a hint - it's like whoever wrote them was unaware that there was a caliper break on the bike. As a result, the 20 minutes it took me to put everything else together turned into 90 minutes of frustration and the brake still doesn't function properly.

Excellent bike. My daughter loves her new bike. It's well made and adorable. The only con is that I think it should come with the streamers and baby doll carrier like the 12 inch bike. Other than that, it's wonderful.

I bought this bike for my 5 year old daughter and she absolutely loves it. I paid the extra $10.00 for assembly and glad I did.
