    I was searching for another Barbie item and saw this one that my daughter already had and couldn't understand why it only had 1 star. My daughter loves this toy and we haven't had any problems with it, so I was curious to read the reviews. Once I read that every other reviewer complained about putting the tent together, I remembered when I put my daughter's together. At first, I could not get it to stay together and the frame of the tent kept popping out of place; I actually told my daughter we were going to return it. Then, I realized that I was putting the pieces together incorrectly. It has been a while since I put it togehter, and it is at her grandma's house, so I can't remember the specifics of how exactly it went together, but it had something to do with flipping the pieces over. Instead of having one of the sides of the frame on top of the other side, it specificlly had to be below it. So, if you do have this or are thinking of getting it, please know that it really does fit together if you can figure it out (pieces should be labeled better or it should be clearer in the directions).

    My daughter chose this gift as a reward after weeks filling out a star chart after working hard on her homework. It is so cheaply made, and the materials in total probably cost less then $3 for something that sells for [$]. The most annoying part of the toy is the tent, which OF COURSE the parent has to assemble. The pieces didn't snap together properly, you get one side in and the other side pops out. It is impossible to snap it all together and honestly the only way to assemble it so that it would actually stay was to use a hot glue gun to secure it. This is something I believe the factory should have done.It was so ironic, I was rewarding my child for working hard and putting quality into what she was doing, and she selected this totally cheap toy that didn't assemble properly from the get-go. I am a professional marketer and cannot fathom that Mattel stamps it's name on something like this. And this review is the culmination of many experiences from this company just like this. Their stuff is really poorly made, and not-for-nothing they are making money hand over fist on this stuff.

          I bought this and 5 other sets for my Barbie crazed daughter for Christmas. So far, the other sets have held up and have been fun to play with. However, this tent does not hold up. Basically we just play with the doll. I'm going to try some zip ties, duct tape and whatever I can find to get this thing to stay together. It's such a cute idea.

            I got this for my five-year old daughter for Christmas. We camp with the Daiseys and my sons Cub Scout troop so I thought a tent would be fun. No matter how hard I try, I can't keep the the pieces together. It's very frustrating for everyone. I was disappointed to say the least with this purchase

              This was a gift for my 3 year old. She has had many temper trantums associated with this already (only 1 day of use). The "clips" in the corners are not long enough to hold the adjoining 2 posts and it constantly falls apart. We will try to "hard wire" it or grond the corner posts to make them longer. I hope we can save it or else it will need to go in the trash simply to prevent the tears.

                  This is a super cute barbie product that looks great from the box, but once its opened it proves that looks can be deceiving. The poles you need to keep the tent together are fine, but if you are not extra careful you can rip the elastic on the tent from the pole when you are putting it together.
